Yeah, I think it's got very broad appeal (well, as broad an appeal as a rap song can have).

 

It reminds me a lot of one of his earlier mainstream songs, I'll Be in the Sky (also an extremely catchy song with lots of singing and a piano-based beat). It actually got playlisted by Radio 1, but flopped in the charts (I think mainly because the song was 2 years old by the time they playlisted it :drama:). So this maybe being a hit now might make up for that. :wub:

It's not a revert either, as Marina is up another place to #28 (and B.o.B has been pushed back down to 21).

I did say "racism aside". :lol: I think she has lots of great songs, and they're not that much different to what some other popular artists do. I think lots of people like her music, or else she wouldn't be so famous.

There's lots of artists which have had zero big hits to their name, which are quite famous, and make good music. You're stanning for one right now! :lol:

 

Do a Google search and you'll find thousands of other people who also like her songs. There's other forums I go on where I could say "I like American Boy" and 90% of the posters would probably chime in saying "Yeah, me too". I think some of us (me included) need to work to learn to accept other people's opinions.
