April 15, 201213 yr Due to the fact that Rihannas career and disography is far more extensive, I shall go with Rihanna.
April 15, 201213 yr Lady GaGaBut AARON! :o GaGa is WHITE. Rihanna is the black one you should be voting for :P But yes. Both completely different to each other, but one is far more likeable and less pretentious than the other one. I'm going with Rihanna.
April 15, 201213 yr This is a hard decision because I respect Gaga for writing her own songs and she's obviously very creative but Rihanna has Rude Boy, Mad Down, Only Girl and Umbrella. So I'm gonna go with Rihanna even though she really needs to stop releasing songs every 2.5 nanoseconds.
April 15, 201213 yr Have to vote for Rihanna. A dominant force in the world of pop, an artist who has developed since her debut in 2005 and would no doubt have such an incredible Greatest Hits whenever the record company decide that the world is ready for one (with customory new single :D ). Lady GaGa showed so much promise up until 'Telephone' (well, 'Alejandro' I guess to a lesser extent). The whole 'Born This Way' era (except for 'The Edge Of Glory') has been a bit meh imo.
April 15, 201213 yr RIHANNA for the win just based on her musical output overall. I love Lady GaGa but she hasnt been around long enough to prove herself to be the best yet in my opinion.
April 15, 201213 yr Surely Lady Gaga. Rihanna had to release 6 albums to have a brilliant song (Where Have You Been - although Hard is fantastic too), while Gaga managed it from her first one. Plus, Gaga is way more artistic.
April 15, 201213 yr I think Lady Gaga is obviously the biggest pop star, at least from 2009-now. She has more appeal in general, to older generation for example (I think her music is quite 80's influenced, like ABBA, Depeche Mode, Ace of Base, etc, and the way she markets herself is similar to how pop stars did it back then, whilst Rihanna markets herself a lot with sex which I think puts some people off her, but Lady Gaga has lost any possibility of doing that since the "she's a man" rumours) she collaborates with loads of musical legends (as opposed to Rihanna who collaborates with loads of rappers, so again, Rihanna has less overall appeal, although that does help her in the singles charts), and also I think Lady Gaga used to appeal more to the alternative crowd than Rihanna, because she's more credible as an artist (well known piano player, songwriter, etc.). HOWEVER, I base this off the songs. I can think of probably only 3 or 4 Lady Gaga songs that I like (2 of which are features), and there's probably like 30 Rihanna songs that I love. So my vote goes for: Rihanna Edited April 15, 201213 yr by Eric_Blob
April 15, 201213 yr Lady Gaga I can't name a single (and album) from Gaga I don't like but Rihanna has more than one. So gogo Gaga :cheer:
April 15, 201213 yr There's only a handful of songs by Rihanna that I actually LOVE (Wait Your Turn, Hard, Russian Roulette, What's My Name and Birthday Cake) all being R&B singles, which is the Rihanna I love, not this 'dance Rihanna'. I've really gone off her at the minute, she's overrated and overplayed, and We Found Love is one of the worst songs of the past 12 months. I want another Rated R. Pretty much everything Gaga has released so far in her career I've adored, and with songs such as Heavy Metal Lover, Scheiße, Marry The Night, Bad Romance, Dance In The Dark (I could go on...) in her back catalogue she wins hands down. Lady Gaga. EDIT: Reading this back I sound like a loon, and like I'm slagging off Rihanna for the sake of it, so I'd just like to add that when Rihanna does R&B, 9 times out of 10 she does it better than Beyoncé. April 15, 201213 yr Has to be Rihanna - she's much hotter than Gaga, and her last album didn't suck... ;)   Blasphemy have you heard TTT? I vote Gaga
April 15, 201213 yr Has to be Rihanna - she's much hotter than Gaga, and her last album didn't suck... ;) As I said in the last thread - when did looks have anything to do with this?!
April 15, 201213 yr I'm gonna go with Lady Gaga as I prefer her music output in general even though Rihanna is perfectly competent as well Edited April 15, 201213 yr by C.W
