It was produced by Diplo, wasn't it? Very subdued.

Yeah. He's an incredible taltented producer. He also produced Run the World, Look At Me Now and Motivation recently. Such a legend. He said that Climax is his favourite song he's ever made (or something like that). I'm so glad it got to #4. I never expected it to even get pushed in the UK.

Gotye!

Infact, I think this entire top 4 is very good.

Right now I can't see anything beating this as the biggest of the year. Fun. could cross the million if it takes off but it sounds like this year's L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N but the US run has been massive publicity

All Canadian top two! Is this confirmed to be the first ever instance of this happening?

It hurts me to admit I like this Bieber song. Though I'm glad his voice broke because I couldn't take anymore songs like Baby. :puke2:

This is a pretty good new song though. It's all fairly interesting and fresh sounding although the chorus reminds me a bit of Justin Timberlake. That's not a bad thing though.

Call Me Maybe looks to be in this for the longrun doesn't it? I wonder how long it will last before it's knocked off.
Great to have a two week #1 again! I think she'll stick for a third week personally!

It's US success is mind-blowing though. It's E.T./Rolling in the Deep all over again.

Woo, Lana keeps climbing in the album chart. For someone who is considered an either "you love her" or "you hate her" then her chart run is impressive! :yahoo:
I'd rather tweens were listening to Bieber and Jepson than The Wanted and 1D. The former are quite talented and catchy.
Best top 2 in a looooooong time! Would've been happy with either of them at #1.

Yeah, I like him, when you listen to "his" songs you can tell it's his production, but they are still very distinct (unlike many big producers).

You should check out "Express Yourself", it's his new single. So good!

Sorry for the slight delay for this final recap, I accidentally lost the top 5 and had to type them out again :drama:

Thank God for Carly Rae Jepsen :D

Edited by B.r.É

Yes for Carly, that song is growing on me like a rash (and I don't mean that in a negative way but I don't know another metaphor thats suitable  ), Boyfriend is very average really, just not as horrible as his other songs
