August 25, 201212 yr Sorry? Quite a lot of people I know have liked most of the acts that have performed on the X Factor tonight and I have too. You guys are the only people who's criticising these acts. Lighten up! Now that's a statistic. Perhaps they could use it on a VT for Cover Drive in the live shows? A LOT OF PEOPLE I KNOW LIKE THEM! Seriously, stop telling people what they can and can't like. Perhaps we're not easily impressed. I liked chimney sweep guy but I did take issue with him finding Rita Ora attractive. :puke2:
August 25, 201212 yr A rather negative response - I actually thought Lucy & Kye were really good :o (except where he sang R.I.P at the end, it would've been fine on its own <_< ). I thought Lucy was very refreshing for this show at least, although I can't help thinking she'd be better in Britain's Got Talent. James was alright too, but was my least favourite of the trio, I think he got as bit to shouty towards the end. I dunno if this has already been said, can they STOP with these bloody conversations between contestants. Even as blatantly staged as they are, who actually gives a shit? :manson:

Last year!!! I do find it quite laughable that they actually film the contestants backstage having a normal conversation. It's clearly staged which makes it even worse. They're not actors, so why act?
August 25, 201212 yr I can't say I cared much for ANYONE on tonight's show. Kye was the only remotely good one. And anyone who thinks that girl was better than the amazingness of Kate Nash can kindly SOD OFF.

August 25, 201212 yr The scripted conversations at once the best and worst thing about the audition shows this year. The at home scenes this week were a step TOO far though.
August 25, 201212 yr I was waiting for her tonight to save our ears :drama: Haha, yes! I'm sure she's going to be fantastic! And she definitely didn't get featured in the montages last year as prominently as this year if I remember rightly!

August 25, 201212 yr :moira: In other news, 'Last Night' is climbing up iTunes at quite a fast rate. Didn't realise the Kate Nash wannabe actually had an album on iTunes. Thanks to Ryan for posting the video in the iTunes thread. I'm both :D and :o at the same time.
August 26, 201212 yr I think Louie needs an hearing aid So did all those fans of his band Westlife over the years - at least we've see the last of this rubbish
August 26, 201212 yr It's been nearly 25 minutes and we've seen two people. I wish the auditions weren't live. I agree - too much about their lives and not enough of the auditions (Boooooooring!!!) Who cares about somebody being a chimney sweep or the sob stories. Same with the conversations with Dermot O'Dreary outside. Then there are the countless & extra long ad breaks with all the trailers. I think there were only about 6 auditions broadcast on the whole show - then they wonder why they are losing viewers. That girl Lucy Spraggan from Sheffield who sang 'Last Night' was really the best of the night for me - so different. Song reminded me a bit of Victoria Wood's type of thing. August 26, 201212 yr X Factor was FAR more enjoyable when they were in a small studio room with just the contestant and the judges :( I HATE how cheesy it has all become with the back stories, audience reactions, fake conversations etc etc. The producers of the show must be like 60 years old to think that this all appeals to a wide audience :drama: I though Britain's Got Talent was cheesy and overdone!
August 26, 201212 yr I only enjoyed Kai's performance on last night's show. Everything else was horrifically overrated by the judges or just plain horrific. I'm yet to watch this week's Xtra Factor though, so I'm sure there'll be something good in there anyway. The editing is really ruining this show though :(
August 26, 201212 yr How many weeks of auditions do we have? I much prefer the Live shows where they can't really edit, and the judges houses/bootcamps are always a laugh too.
August 26, 201212 yr How many weeks of auditions do we have? I much prefer the Live shows where they can't really edit, and the judges houses/bootcamps are always a laugh too. I'm assuming the live shows start on October 6th (meaning the final will be 9th December, a week before the Christmas No1 week which they avoided last year). That would mean Judges Houses would be 29th/30th September and Bootcamp 22nd/23rd September. If it turns out the final is on the 16th then shuffle all the weeks back by a week! Also, we got quite a few double episodes of auditions (on both Sat and Sun) last year so expect them to start again soon! Also, the ratings for last night climbed by about half a million on last week's launch! :cheer:
August 26, 201212 yr Kye is best friends with Fearne Cotton, I'm surprised they didn't hammer that into a little VT before his performance!
