Is Hot Right Now a 'non album single'?

Also was this time in 1997 around the time when artists used to start entering the chart at peak position - i notice in this 97 retro half the top 10 are new entries!!

What a flop for Labrinth -_- I guess I wasn't the only one who was disappointed with this follow up after "Earthquake" being one of my favourite songs of 2011.

The origins of Train's widescreen, Americana-tinged rock lay in the coffee-house acoustic duo that singer/songwriter Pat Monahan inaugurated with guitarist Rob Hotchkiss after the two left the L.A. band the Apostles. Eventually they expanded to a full band and released their first album themselves before it was picked up for wider distribution. Though initially a sleeper, it slowly produced a couple of hits, and the 2001 follow-up DROPS OF JUPITER broke Train through to full-fledged star status with its grandiloquent title track. - HMV

2001 10 Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me)

2002 49 She's On Fire

2010 18 Hey, Soul Sister

OUCH at the drop for this. Odd to think that it looks likely to sell far less than "Let The Sun Shine" when it seems like far more of an 'event' song.

It's far more of an event than LTSS but the fact it's come right after Earthquake has killed off any chances of it doing well. I think his album would be doing far better if they switched around the releases of these two singles.

Drops of Jupiter is wonderful song, woeful lyrics in the final verse aside (love like deep fried chicken? Best soy latte I've ever had?). Reminds me a lovely girl I met while at uni in America, who used to play a gorgeous version of this on the piano. Oh, the memories.
Good to see this get a second week in the Top40 after it being a re-entry last week
Drops Of Jupiter  What a classic - I'm yet to hear Drive By, but it'll have to be good to come close to this.

You're probably right, but I would've been annoyed if Last Time was his 2nd single, since I desperately wanted something else like Pass Out, Wonderman, Let It Go, etc. from him at the time.

Not a fan of this. I see Wheatus have dropped out though, thank God :D No The Fray today, hopefully next week.

According to Wikipedia, the reason for 'Drops of Jupiter' re-entering the UK chart is:

"to mark the end of the visibility of the close proximity of Jupiter and Venus in the western sky from the UK, when Jupiter finally set before the onset of night."

Think I best step in and edit.

There has been Entries at #1 before this date.

That would be a lovely reason were it true and if I'd known about it before you posting that. #astronomyfan

Drake!! :cheer:

Ooh, I thought Drake was going to drop out for some reason. Woo, another week bringing it to 20 weeks T40, fantastic longevity :D I fail to see what relevance The Voice has to this though?!
