Surely well over 1 million overall.

I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long to go platinum post 1994….its overall streams are very large, guess they’re spread across many countries.

Think it was just under 400k in the 80s so very nearly 1m!

@Ne Plus Ultra posted this in the 2026 BPI Certifications thread:

Madonna - La Isla Bonita (Platinum)

351,832 pre-February 1994 units + 600,000 post-February 1994 units = 951,832 total chart units!

200k in 106 weeks - 1,887 sales on average per week!

It sold 393k in the 80s so another month until 1m!

It's less than you thought. It's more likely it'll be there on the last week of the year.

"Finally Enough Love" has officially broken the record for the most weeks spent on the UK Top 100 Official Albums Chart by a Remix Album.

I still wish Celebration had these sales and hope in time her team will switch. I know MJs team did so between Number Ones and Essential.

However im just glad that Madonna now has a “hits” album charting the way many of her peers have for some time now it’s been long overdue and with Confessions II and her being more visible I think it might now become a chart staple.

OCC has updated Madonna's Top 40 streamed tracks.

They've done rundowns in 2015, 2019 (top 20 only), 2023 and 2026, so we can monitor which tracks are fading in and out of fashion, relative to each other. The positions in square brackets relate to these previous lists. Notably Hung Up, Holiday and Vogue have gone in and out, while Into The Groove has gone out and in, and Like A Virgin goes out and further out. But there is no stopping Like A Prayer.

‘Sorry’ climbing into the Top 20 makes me very happy! I imagine it’s still a way off a Gold certification but hopefully passed 300k.

Pre Confessions II impact Across all her albums Madonna has spent 674 weeks in the UK Top 40 and 1180 weeks on the top 75!

The Immaculate Collection is her longest runner overall with 363 weeks top 100.

Studio album wise it’s Like A Virgin (152 weeks) with Ray of Light (138 weeks) and her debut album on (125 weeks).

If it becomes a mainstay like i think it could Finally Enough Love will probably eventually get to the 100 weeks mark on the chart! It’s on 77 weeks top 100 at the moment and seems to be her “catalogue/hits” album what gets the chart placement week on week. (Should be celebration!!!)

Also insane that studio album wise her debut album is her only one not to chart at either #1 or #2 here like that’s an impressive streak.

Also just for geek purposes this is her top 40/100 weeks for studio albums.

Madonna - PEAK #6 (two consecutive weeks at #6)

33 weeks top 40 / 125 weeks top 100

Like a Virgin - PEAK #1 (2 non consecutive weeks)

83 weeks top 40 / 153 weeks top 100

spent a week at #60 on separate chart entry in 2016

True Blue - PEAK #1 (6 consecutive weeks)

68 weeks top 40 / 90 weeks top 100

Like a Prayer - PEAK #1 (2 consecutive weeks)

42 weeks top 40 / 73 weeks top 100

Erotica - PEAK #2 (3 consecutive weeks)

19 weeks top 40 / 39 weeks top 100

Bedtime Stories - PEAK #2

20 weeks top 40 / 31 weeks top 100

Ray of Light - PEAK #1 (2 consecutive weeks)

83 weeks top 40 / 138 weeks top 100

Music - PEAK #1 (2 consecutive weeks)

44 weeks top 40 / 73 weeks top 100

American Life - PEAK #1 (1 week)

11 weeks top 40 / 20 weeks top 100

Confessions on a Dancefloor - PEAK #1 (2 consecutive weeks)

28 weeks top 40 / 54 weeks top 100

Hard Candy - PEAK #1 (1 week)

22 weeks top 40 / 26 weeks top 100

MDNA - PEAK #1 (1 week)

8 weeks top 40 / 12 weeks top 100

Rebel Heart - PEAK #2

8 weeks top 40 / 12 weeks top 100

Madame X - PEAK #2

3 weeks top 40 / 5 weeks top 100

These are the Top 100 hits that failed to make Madonna's Top 40 most streamed:

Angel

Gambler

Causing a Commotion

The Look of Love

Dear Jessie

Hanky Panky

Rescue Me

This Used to Be My Playground

Erotica

Deeper and Deeper

Bad Girl

Fever

Rain

I'll Remember

Secret

Bedtime Story

Human Nature

You'll See

Oh Father

One More Chance

You Must Love Me

Another Suitcase in Another Hall

Drowned World / Substitute for Love

Nothing Really Matters

What It Feels Like for a Girl

American Life

Hollywood

Love Profusion

Get Together

Miles Away

Give Me All Your Luvin'

Masterpiece

Girl Gone Wild

Vulgar

A shame that none of the 'Erotica' era is represented, wouldn't be surprised if a couple of them were just outside the Top 40. Same with 'Human Nature'. 'You'll See' is the biggest seller from this list with over 300k chart sales.

Youll See is only on STR so this is why but deserves more and shocked that some songs are above Deeper & Deeeper

Above is Madonna’s most streamed daily worldwide on Spotify the day before Confessions II debuted. Human Nature, Get Together, Secret, Angel and Girl Gone Wild all appear here but not in Madonna’s UK most streamed overall.

Also I assume the streams from the Sickick remix of Frozen are combined with the original despite charting separately on the sales chart. No idea how well it did but presumably would have been enough to reach Madonna’s most streamed list if it was counted separately.

Some album totals:

3,864,009 Madonna - The Immaculate Collection

2,109,046 Madonna - True Blue

1,651,282 Madonna - Music

361,432 Madonna - Finally Enough Love

#7 on the UK streaming album chart for Confessions II. Very good result id say.

For comparative sake Kylies DISCO, Tension and Tension II peaked at numbers 14, (DISCO) 11 (Tension) and 58 (Tension II) on this chart.

I think a second week top 40 feels almost certain and I think she could even land another week top 20. I think this could outlast Madame Xs 5 weeks top 100.

Takes over 3k to reach Top 40 which I think could potentially reach on stream alone.

I reckon she could even get another week top 10, we have the Afterhours edition for this week and who knows what else. It only takes <7k for top 10. Don’t want to get my hopes up too much though, it’s done amazing already!

Music Week last gave totals for 'The Immaculate Collection' and 'True Blue' the w/e 1 November 2014:

3,665,068 The Immaculate Collection

1,997,015 True Blue

That's an increase of 198,941 and 112,031 respectively. Definitely seems like they've missed some sales for 'The Immaculate Collection'; this is how it performed in 2020-2022:

2020: ~50,000

2021: 58,126

2022: 39,464 (up to the release of 'Finally Enough Love')

That's 147k already, leaving just 52k for the 2015-2019 as well as any downloads/physicals post-'Finally Enough Love'. Seems far too low given it made the Top 200 in 2016-2019, including a couple of weeks Top 100.

'True Blue' has averaged 183 chart sales per week since 2014 and 'Music' has averaged 47 chart sales since 2019.
