Carly at 0.7 and fun. 0.65 according to Kworb - if her BGT doesn't give Tulisa much of a boost I'd expect "We Are Young" to be fighting it out with Rita Ora for #1 next week.
So Fun must be rising in sales again this week - maybe 75-80k for a number3 single?? Sales next week for the whole top 5 should be great with RIP thrown in to the mix - a whole top 5 of over 50-60k?

I don't watch glee, but I youtube songs they've covered that I'm interested in, and wow at Lea Michele doing Cry. Incredible!

What was their last top 40 hit? I remember the days they would be contenders for top 20, sometimes even top 10..then moved to Sky One.

Wow Linkin Park all the way down to 96, wonder if it will recover when radio 1 alsit it later this month. Does it have a video yet?

Good to see the new skrillex one with damian marley doing well - no40 now, POC up to 78 - this is only from radio play too - if the video is released at a decent time (which coldplay normally do) it could be another top 10 hit imo!!

Probably 'Rumour Has It/Someone Like You' back in November? When that went top 40 on iTunes before the episode had even aired in the UK. 'Shake It Out' should become another top 100 for them but I doubt the others will make it [although 'Cry' is stunning].

It's #103 at the moment  It's airplay needs to rise though. Hopefully a performance on The Voice will give it a nice boost.

So it seems Sainsbury's have launched their own MP3 store - offerring users their first track for free. I imagine that besides the new releases, the offer will be of most benefit to those already benefitting from the 'weekend effect', so 'Moves Like Jagger' (#39 on Sainsbury's) and 'We Found Love'.

Obviously the new store won't have as much impact, but:

01. Calvin Harris / Ne-Yo - 'Let's Go'

02. Tulisa - 'Young'

03. Cover Drive - 'Sparks'

Carly at 0.7 and fun. 0.65 according to Kworb - if her BGT doesn't give Tulisa much of a boost I'd expect "We Are Young" to be fighting it out with Rita Ora for #1 next week.

So Rita Ora is releasing something *other* than RIP, then? :P

Yeah, it's actually a grimecore cover of "Nine Million Bicycles".

If a song is free, does it still count as an official sale?

Not normally. Maybe it might in the Sainsbury's situation, but usually they're ineligible. I think there's a minimum price a song can be for it to count towards the charts.

Emeli Sande in the top 100!!! :cheer:

Can't wait for Where Have You Been to go top 10!! Future #1? It might not be completely out of the question considering how fast it has risen without video play properly kicking in yet! It does have tough competition though!
I think Where Have You Been is more likely to go to #1 in the US than it is in the UK. Since S&M and Disturbia reached #1 there, whilst they *only* got #3 here, so maybe Where Have You Been will be #3 in the UK aswell. The Rihanna dance songs usually do better in the US it seems.
R.I.P Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys). Expect to see a few of their hits in the top 100 in the next few hours. :(
