Gotye is being used in an advert for Radio 2's 2day or w/e it is. The Instrumental for "Starships" is also being used in an advert, but can't remember which one.

 

Glad to see Marina rise! Currently at #13, #34 & #148. She is outselling Conor when combined. It's just Gotye that might block her. He's currently ahead of her combined, so hopefully she had a decent lead on Friday to prevent him from overtaking her.

Hoping Rita Ora gets #1 next week, The song has really grown on me! :wub:

I hope Tulisa holds #1 (preferably), or Carly gets it back. Rita's song is good but not worthy of #1 imo :(

If Tulisa's sales are over 100k tomorow/Monday, I reckon she hold on for a second week with her performance on BGT, with Rita Ora peaking at #2 and Carly #3 or #4 depends how well fun. do, I can't see Carly selling over 90k next week, her sales will start to slow down.

Another week where the #8-12 spots will be the most interesting. The #11 could be Gotye, Nicki Minaj, Marina OR Conor Maynard - obviously Marina grabbing a week inside the top 10 would be well-deserving, but I'm still slightly hoping Gotye can manage another week.

Next week will be really interesting, as Martin says I think it will depend on how big Tulisa is sales wise re: whether she'll hold it next week.

 

Rita Ora is rumoured for BGT too though, if this is true then it will heat up the battle even more!

I don't have a clue who'll be #1 next week either, but chances are in 48 hours it's going to be obvious. :lol:

 

It could be fun., since I think they're close to overtaking Carly, and it's possible that Tulisa might not get much of a boost from her performance and Rita coule underperform.

 

I want Rita to be #1 though, since her song is best out of the 4 imo, and two of them have already been #1, and the other will probably be #1 later on in the month.

Tulisa's lead is only 20% now, that shouldn't be too hard for Rita to overcome and hold on to - I'm still expecting this to be absolutely huge although I could be wrong admittedly :P

I know Lee, i would have expected it to be at least top 100 with the video release, but it isnt anywhere to be seen on Radio or TV chart but i'm hoping its just a slow starter and once performed tomorrow it'll be the start of it becoming a big hit. :wub:

Just have to wait it out until we have sales for Tulisa, and what day they are performing on BGT, if Rita performs at the end of the week it be too late I think.

I hope 'My Kind Of Love' can do well, it's not officially released until May 28th. I'm betting Radio 1 will playlist it on Wednesday.

M!key, all four of Keane's previous albums (well, three and an EP) have gone straight to #1, why are you so doubtful of the success of Strangeland? I think they have #1 pretty much in the bag although I suppose Richard and Damon being on Jools Holland *could* provide challenge for them (but they'll still be #3 at the very worst even so).

 

There's a fake version of R.I.P. at #96 and the EP is #30 on the albums chart, I'm still almost certain she'll be heading for #1 especially as Tulisa's lead has eroded a lot over the week.

If Gotye knocks Marina out of the top 10 it will actually be worse than any injustice from any period in the history of mankind.

Surely Keane are a certain #1 album? Sure, they haven't had a hit from this yet but nor did the Night Train EP, I think they are lucky to be out on a quiet album week in a time where sales are low though!
