Perhaps it's only the gayz who are feeling the homophobia :P It did come across that way, but I'm sure Eric didn't mean it like that. With the likes of vidcapper to represent them, it's no wonder Kylie fans can be seen as weird by someone :P

Some of us are toally normal, doing normal things :kink:

What?! How was mentioning that Kylie songs were being used homophobic? I thought it was relevant because people were discussing it just the other day how no-one used Kylie songs. And the fact that I couldn't remember the act name shouldn't add to anything.

I said it's reaching, don't worry. Your comment could be labelled homophobic because you actually SAW the act and labelled them "weird men". Assuming they acted stereotypically gay (I can't say I was watching but... Kylie), you could take your comment as saying that stereotypical gay men are weird which someone could call homophobic if they wanted to.

If you didn't remember the name or weren't paying much attention to the act then sure, whatever. They probably did look weird anyway. But I only brought you in to defend Eric anyway, I wasn't accusing you of anything.

Surely weird men doesn't mean weird gay men though? It could be merely a reference saying that the "weird men" have "weird music taste" instead but just Eric worded it differently?

More so...it was used on BGT. So it could be a reference that the act there were acting in a weird and funny way.

You would DEFINITELY be included in that bracket :kink:

LOL, Anyone who thinks that's homophobic needs to get a reality check.

Also hoping to see Poison to re-enter the top 100!

I feel like Eric's lawyer or something.

Ooh look SAIKI is outside the top 40. This must be the first time it's been outside it in like, a decade?

"Weird men like Kylie" was basically what Eric said, and I think it's a well-known fact that even Eric can't deny knowing that male Kylie fans tend to be of the homosexual variety.

That's a stretch - a proportion of male Kylie fans might be gay, but you're implying it's just about all of them.

Oh, sorry about that. I do overreact sometimes. I only called them weird because of the actual act, and was in no way being homophobic. I'd never be homophobic, I hate the idea.

Whats more normal than saving hundreds of pictures of Jeremy Renner? :kink:

Kylie apparantly loved the "weird men" so thats that.

Seems to be the only track climbing at the moment, everything's falling.

Oh, I noticed it was just theo who basically complained, nothing new there.

"Tend" doesn't mean "just about all". It means the majority maybe but I'd agree with Theo on that anyway.

Hmmm, it is a bit of a stretch I agree, but homophobia was (very very) vaguely implied. Perhaps people should read what they write before posting sometimes if they think they are on dodgy ground?

I am sure it wasn't intentionally meant anyway, and I am sure Joseph and Eric would agree they didn't mean to be even slightly homophobic? Well, I hope they do :P

That comment was not homophobic in the SLIGHTEST. It's hardly worth over a page of discussion about it either. Joseph and Eric have no need to apologise for that.

If anything, Theo automatically assuming weird MUST mean gay makes him the more homophobic and we all know he AIN'T, so there is no argument.

This. Couldn't agree more Slick.

It's a Danni Minougue vs Danyl Johnson all over again!

Haha, of course I didn't mean it, I'm not that type of a person. (wants to use a smilie face but it's frowned upon on this forum :P).

Thank you Slick, appreciate it!

Embrace the weirdnesss, normal is boring anyway :D

I'm gay and i really wasn't offended by the above. I am, also, pretty weird B-) :P

I also love Kylie, just to add my 2 cents.

They were a bloody awful act anyway, regardless of what sexuality they are and what they sung!
