I still absolutely love Starships. Yesterday it rose to #3 on my personal chart and it still sounds fresh to me. It's nowhere near Super Bass, but is probably my second favourite from Nicki. I only thought it had been out about 2 months, not 4!

Same here, I wish I never bought it. It's such a sell out of a song (and I know some Nicki stans will say she's not selling out and she's only doing it for a one-off and that there's rap on the album, but imo if you're launching your campaign with a pop song then you're clearly more of a pop artist than a rap artist) and the breakdown is pretty boring. The video is awful as well.

I just wish the charts would start moving a bit. Even 'Laser Light' sounds like it's been out for months, another artist selling out for a hit.

I agree. I want the charts to move a little bit faster, although there's not really anything we can do about it. It would help if Capital stopped playing We Found Love though...

With regards to Jessie, I'm really hoping she returns to the sound she had between Do It Like a Dude and Who You Are for her next album. I have nothing against Dr. Luke (he produced Price Tag), but Domino I think is just, well, there's hardly anything to say about the song.

And similar with Starships (which sounds almost the same as Domino anyway :lol:). I was so upset when I heard Starships for the first time. I don't know why she felt she had to do a song like that. And it was even worse for her core fanbase since Starships and her collabs with David Guetta and Madonna were all popular at the same time, it's a bit overwhelming for them I imagine.

There were a few RnB/hip hop styles hits last year, such as Forget You, E.T., Down On Me, Grenade, Look At Me Now, What's My Name?, Just Can't Get Enough. All those were massive hits, she could've gotten away with something like those easily.
