Sad to hear about Donna Summer :( Her style is very 'of the time' but she does disco very well.

Below are her biggest hits in the UK in release order. Hot Stuff will probably go highest as its her most well known song, not sure about top 40 but if Etta James could do it then I think Donna could as well.

#4 Love To Love You Baby

#1 I Feel Love

#5 Down Deep Inside

#14 I Remember Yesterday

#3 Love's Unkind

#10 I Love You

#5 MacArthur Park

#11 Hot Stuff

#14 Bad Girls

#14 State of Independance

#14 Unconditional Love

#13 Dinner With Gershwin

#3 This Time I Know It's For Real

#7 I Don't Wanna Get Hurt

I'm guessing Hot Stuff, TTIKIFR, Love's Unkind, Bad Girls and I Feel Love will get the biggest boosts.

I just heard re: Donna Summer

McArthur Park for #1 please

EDIT: Sorry that was US, I miss read the top 400!

Someone (Eric?) mentioned just the other day about how there's never any Asian music in the chart - and along comes a random Asian song into the top 100 :P

Yeah. I did some research on it, since it's so puzzling to me. I just can't understand why they aren't more in the charts. I did find this though:

In the 1980s, distributed by record labels such as Multitone Records, Bhangra artists were selling over 30,000 cassettes a week in the UK, but not one artist made their way into the Top 40 UK Chart despite these artists outselling popular British ones; most of the Bhangra cassette sales were not through the large UK record stores, whose sales were those recorded by the Official UK Charts Company for creating their rankings.

Donna Summer Songs in the top 400:

237. Donna Summer - I Feel Love (12" Version)

351. Donna Summer - I Feel Love (Edit)

377. Donna Summer - Hot Stuff

... and we have the first Donna song to break the top 200:

192. I Feel Love (12" Version)

163. Donna Summer - I Feel Love (12" Version)

201. Donna Summer - I Feel Love (Edit)

236. Donna Summer - I Feel Love (12" Version)

263. Donna Summer - Hot Stuff

264. Donna Summer - I Feel Love

296. Donna Summer - Love To Love You Baby

333. Donna Summer - State of Independence (Single Version)

380. Donna Summer & Barbara Streisand - No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)

 134 Nicki Minaj feat Chris Brown - Right By My Side

R.I.P Donna Summer.

Do you think she may sneak into the UK Top40 on Sunday with one of her songs?

122, 150, 169, 195 - various versions of I Feel Love

171 Hot Stuff

187 This Time I Know It's For Real

"At Last" by Etta James snuck into the top 40 with multiple versions in the top 1,000. The same could happen if one of the versions of "I Feel Love" can crack the top 75 on iTunes.
Yeah. I did some research on it, since it's so puzzling to me. I just can't understand why they aren't more in the charts. I did find this though:

Punjabi MC was in the charts

:( poor Donna, RIP. I hope 'I Feel Love' can sneak a week in the Top 40.

Jay Sean aswell. But it's rare though.

In the place I live, it's like 78% asian, so I hear this type of music a lot. Yes, I know the entire country isn't like this (before people take words out of my mouth as usual), but I would've thought there would be more of this type of music in the chart. I WANT there to be anyway, some of the songs are really, really, really good.

As that quote I found said, sometimes songs would sell 30,000 copies in a week back in the 80's, and I think it would probably be the same today. I guess it might be similar with mixtapes, where you get the music for free and there's specific websites you can download them from.

99, 108, 117, 178 - I Feel Love

118 - This Time I Know It's For Real

122 - Hot Stuff

134 - Love To Love You Baby

182 - State of Independence

 52. Glee Cast - It's All Coming Back To Me Now

 72. Glee Cast - Paradise By The Dashboard Light

 79. Glee Cast - Mean

 93. Glee Cast - Flashdance (What a Feeling)

Just out of curiosity, what city do you live in?

Princess Of China is really increasing at a good speed. Hopefully when the video is released it can sneak in and get a top 10 peak.

I live in Birmingham. If any of you bought the EP for Young by Tulisa, that's where Preditah and C4 are from.

Skepta down to #26.
