June 30, 201212 yr Shame about 'Once', although I completely expected it. :( It's probably my favourite #1 of 2010 and it deserved much more, it's probably the non #1 of 2010 save for 'Dirtee Disco'. :(
June 30, 201212 yr Will this keep going to include songs released post the start on this thread? Cheryl would therefore be a certainty to feature with her latest "hit".
June 30, 201212 yr Author Will this keep going to include songs released post the start on this thread? Cheryl would therefore be a certainty to feature with her latest "hit". I'll finish this thread at 2011, it may perhaps be revived at the end of the decade if we're all still here :P
June 30, 201212 yr Why would Cheryl be a certainty? Maroon 5's #1 following her achieved slightly smaller first week sales, and may drop to #3 this week.
June 30, 201212 yr I'd say Cheryl is a certainty to KEEP her #1. She had a massive advantage over Flo Rida in week 1 and very slightly increased her lead in week 2, he's not going to close the deficit in week 3. Maroon 5, as mentioned, opened with less than Cheryl did and will probably do about the same this week as Cheryl did last week, so they'll be miles behind Cheryl still. And will.i.am has no chance of even matching her first week sales let alone her first 3 weeks.
June 30, 201212 yr For 2011 it might be: Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger Nero - Promises Sak Noel - Loca People (Im still baffled as to how this became no 1, what was the defining source of sales for this?)
June 30, 201212 yr For 2011 it might be: Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger Nero - Promises Sak Noel - Loca People (Im still baffled as to how this became no 1, what was the defining source of sales for this?) And We R Who We R, Don't Hold Your Breath (maybe, as SLY was number one week before and after), She Makes Me Wanna, Stay Awake, and Wishing on a Star, me thinks! :D
June 30, 201212 yr 2010 was the year the 'non number 1' phrase first emerged on here I believe, so not surprised there's a lot of changes, all of these so far are pretty much expected, I certainly don't like it as much now, but its nice to see Florence & Dizzee get promoted, I remember being really annoyed when they lost it at the last minute to Jason Derulo
June 30, 201212 yr I don't know what happened in 2010 but we have A LOT to get through!! To start us of..... JASON DERULO- IN MY HEAD- NON NUMBER ONE http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/64/InMyHead.jpg NEW PEAK POSITION: 2 Derulo's first chart topper here is demoted thanks to a promotion (2010 gives us the most promotions yet!), it was one of the year's poorer selling No 1 hits finishing the year as the 40th biggest seller so its demotion shouldn't be a surprise. LATqgigvk2E        This was my favourite sing for such a long time but I did think it would lose it's #1 status
July 1, 201212 yr We're not the only country to experience non #1's, last week's #1 in Australia - Stay With Me Baby by Karise Eden - has dropped straight from #1 to... #54 :o
July 1, 201212 yr We're not the only country to experience non #1's, last week's #1 in Australia - Stay With Me Baby by Karise Eden - has dropped straight from #1 to... #54 :o That must be some kind of worldwide record  I think the performance single was deleted and replaced with songs from the album 'My Journey' which I assume is a collection of her Voice performances, but surely it would climb back again so that's hardly an excuse  It's so weird how she had the whole top 4 on their iTunes and now most of them are lingering in the lower half of the top 100, her highest song now is #34 (her winner's single You Won't Let Me).
July 1, 201212 yr Wouldn't surprise me if Sweden have had something drop from #1 straight out of the top 60! The Australian charts are generally more stable though  Apparently Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On dived 1-24 in Australia and was the previous record :o
July 1, 201212 yr If the US was a sales only chart, they would've had a #1 drop straight out of the top 100 the next week!

The Australian charts are generally more stable though  Apparently Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On dived 1-24 in Australia and was the previous record :o How did that happen? :o Seems odd that a song like 'MHWGO' would take such a massive drop from no. 1 :o
July 1, 201212 yr Author JLS- THE CLUB IS ALIVE- NON NUMBER ONE http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7e/JLS_The_Club_is_Alive.jpg NEW PEAK POSITION: 5 I don't think many tears will be spilt over this one! An indecent descent down the charts 1-7-9 means this track can do little better than No 5 on this thread for the boyband who get stripped of their second chart topper via this means. Fair play though it is a SHOCKING record so justice is served! QnyvVaCnX10
July 1, 201212 yr Author B.o.B FEATURING HAYLEY WILLIAMS- AIRPLANES- NON NUMBER ONE http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fe/B.o.B_-_Airplanes.jpg NEW PEAK POSITION: 2 Spending three consecutive weeks at No 2 on this thread behind firstly Katy Perry then Yolanda Be Cool and getting withiin 5k of the top it is close but no cigar for B.o.B who can console himself knowing that "Nothin On You" keeps its status here. kn6-c223DUU
July 1, 201212 yr Author THE WANTED- ALL TIME LOW- NON NUMBER ONE http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b7/AllTimeLowSingleCover.JPG NEW PEAK POSITION: 3 However I'm quite sad to see this get demoted. Here it gets stuck behind Yolanda Be Cool and Flo Rida in an unusually competitive August that year. HrouZawxaEE
