Why is Gotye suddenly climbing so much again?

Jack Johnson  to #47 and 'Turning Tables' back in the top 100 at #97 :D

Not seen the results as of yet, but did 'Somebody That I Used To Know' get recapped on 'The Voice' tonight? Viewing audiences might have been higher tonight, after word of mouth about the drama that happened between the judges last night as well as the fact they haven't had the footie to be up against tonight.

Jennifer at 10 & Paloma at 11 - I feel so conflicted! :( Hopefully both can get Top 10, but if it has to be one or the other, I'd rather Paloma on this occasion.

Wow, Fun are back with 0.5% Of The Wante the battle for #1 will be close this week

fun. has the #1 secured this week I reckon. The Wanted's sales will be front loaded and start to drop soon and they've not pulled a big enough lead from fun.
I think it could be tight... I wouldn't want to call it at this early stage!

New releases always trail off, and especially since this song is by a boy group as well it'll tail off even faster. Whereas We Are Young is more stabilised in terms of sales.

However if The Wanted continues to pull away from fun., then I'll rethink my words but I still think they have a #1 this week.

1. Chasing the Sun - The Wanted

10. Dance Again (feat. Pitbull) - Jennifer Lopez

11. Picking Up the Pieces (Radio Edit) - Paloma Faith

58. The Night Out (Madeon Mix) - Martin Solveig

64. Back In Time (From "Men In Black III") - Pitbull

80. Hollow Talk - Choir of Young Believers

104. Celestine - Spector

197. Breezeblocks - alt-J (∆)

EPs on Albums Chart

1. Chasing the Sun - EP - The Wanted

3. Sketches - EP - Newton Faulkner

6. Picking Up the Pieces - EP - Paloma Faith

33. The Night Out - EP - Martin Solveig

42. Come Alive - EP - Netsky

44. Breezeblocks (Remixes) - EP - alt-J (∆)

Well surely with the sales boost, 'STIUTK' will definitely sell its one millionth copy this week. :D

I'm confident it has already done so, allowing for the 6k it also sold in 2011.

I wonder if the Bee Gees' will reenter the top 40 with "Stayin' Alive" or "Tragedy" this week due to Robin Gibb's tragic loss to cancer. :(

Preferably the latter, as ISTM the former would be in poor taste.

At any rate, next week's #1 album is now almost certainly settled. That Bee Gees album that's been floating round the charts for several months, will now surely storm to #1, especially as the usual post-mortem issue of lack of stock won't arise this time.

But The Wanted will surely have sold bundles of bundles... :)

Despite its inevitability given the few times it's already nearly happened recently, Robin Gibb's death has affected me a bit more than Donna Summer's - while I was only really familiar with one Donna Summer song (Love To Love You Baby), Bee Gees have quite a few great songs :( It would be great to see at least one song of theirs go top 40 again, which would as already mentioned probably be 'Tragedy' or 'Stayin' Alive' despite the latter's inappropriateness. Nothing in the top 400 yet but I don't know how long it's been since the news broke. Their 'Number Ones' album probably will be a big contender for the #1 spot this week given it's already top 40 and won't exactly need to sell much to get to #1.

HOW did you not know I Feel Love? I feel your pain though, I LOVE disco and it's killing me to lose two legends of the genre in one week.

With album sales been so low, the Bee Gees album will probably get a big increase in sales this week, it could go top 5, even #1.
J.Lo still stuck at #10, my fears of it being an 11-20 peaker could yet come true then...
Sad to hear about Robin Gibb of Bee Gees dead :( I like a lot of their songs but Steps' version of Tragedy is much better :kink:
I hope both J.Lo and Paloma can manage to fit in to the Top Ten comfortably, but I also don;t want ti to be at the expense of Tulisa...
Sales for the no1 single and album will be DIRE this week - 60k for the wanted or fun and bee gees at 20k id say!!
JLO  to #9! Hopefully both her and Tulisa can get above Train before Paloma gets in the top 10!
