Oooh, new Kylie up the charts ! First listen : I like it a lot !

Good comeback track, whatever project it's from !

It's been less than a year since her last single, hardly a 'comeback'...

It will be the die hard fans getting it up high nice and early a la Give Me All Your Luvin' and then it will swiftly drop back before stabalising as promotion kicks in.

Kylie's 'Time Bomb' performance so far proves otherwise!!!!!

Was Put Your Hands Up actually released as a single (ie sent to radio, given a single package on iTunes)? I don't count it as one anyway since there's no video.

It was *technically* a single, but Kylie said it was more of "a treat for the fans", which is why there was no promotion or offiicial video.

It definitely had a single EP put on iTunes at least, not sure about the airplay situation although I think I remember it going top 50 on the radio airplay chart.

Even if you don't count that as a 'proper' single though, her last single was only another 6-ish months before that and it's been less than 2 years since 'Aphrodite' came out, a fairly standard length of time between eras unless your name is Rihanna.

You could argue then that Adele's 'Set Fire to the Rain' and Bruno Mars' 'Marry You' weren't singles then on this logic - though I agree that a music video should accompany a single release.

It had two digital EPs:

1. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)

3. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) [basto's Major Mayhem Edit]

4. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) [Live From Aphrodite / Les Folies]

5. Silence

3. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) [basto's Major Mayhem Dub]

4. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) [bimbo Jones Remix]

The B Side 'Silence' is rather good! Although there's no official video, there was a lyrics video issued for the Pete Hammond Remix Edit, which I love:

Thankfully for the fans, there was an Australian CD single.

Seems like you'd have to admit it was an actual proper single then. How daft of them. It's not exactly something many people were going to rush out to buy is it? Album track at best.

Kylie is back down to #9 on my feed - probably a revert though.

Yup, it definitely was.

 7. Timebomb - Kylie Minogue

If only released on Sunday...

Yes, I also wish that Kylie has waited till Sunday, as it seems to be heading top 5 on iTunes, so with The Voice performance it could have gone top 3 or even close to the #1 spot, and wouldn't be losing sales for next weeks chart :(

 #80 Loreen - Euphoria

It's slowly going up but after tomorrow, I'll rise dramatically :D

The new Kylie song is amazing. I feel like a proud Kylie fan.

And let's hope it will still peak in the top-3 despite the late-week release. :P

D'banj back up to #11, JPit down to #12. Surprising to see 'Oliver Twist' holding up so well :o

'Summertime' now up to #33 and a second version (correctly credited to DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince) is at #97, maybe this could even sneak into the top 40 this week. Although knowing the OCC these two 'versions' will chart separately due to having different artist credits :drama:

There's a few artists I can think of that NEVER release on a Sunday, so Kylie doing it with one song isn't that distressing surely.

If the song gets a lot of airplay, I think it can still peak high (probably on its physical release week). If it doesn't get much airplay, it'll probably fall quite quickly, like most songs with little airplay do (ask Nero).

fun sold around 28 k in last 2 days it's 14k per day, if they will sell today 14k and wanted 30% less it will mean that sun will be no.1, and they will have all Saturday to increase their lead.

When I first saw 'Timebomb', I thought it was a cover of the Beck track. I was wrong. Quelle pity, because he has a good track record of recording songs that get picked up by female singers (c.f Feel Good Time by Pink).

Lots of talk about Kylie and Loreen in this thread. If they were ever to record a duet, the sheer magnitude of outpourings would probably crash the BJ ervers.

True.

And all these people I don't recognize aswell. Kylie should release a song every week. The membership numbers of Buzzjack would skyrocket!!
