I don't know. Leona attempted the dance sound with the rather underwhelming 'Collide' which tried to be anthemic but failed miserably. 'Euphoria' has that "anthemic" feel that 'Collide' lacked. Therefore, if Leona had been given a song as strong, she could have easily outsold 'All About Tonight' last year. Although I still think 'AAT' is even more underwhelming but what do I know? :D [/gettingold]

Anyways, bringing the discussion right up to date Loreen is smashing across Europe right now. I really don't understand what the Italian's don't like about the track. Surely it's only a matter of time until Loreen gets the #1 on iTunes. :D

Loreen is taking her time to make up that last 5%.

Alexandra has barely moved and is just now at #37 - could it possibly miss the top 40 by the end of the week? :o

Imagine how bad that would be :o Her album is out next week, just looking terrible right now for this era.

Want Loreen #1 and get that iTunes boost!!!!

Constantly refreshing iTunes waiting for Loreen to hit #1! :kink:

I highly doubt a single person here actually cares, but did anyone realize how similar these cover arts are?

Come to think of it, Clare Maguire wouldn't be a bad choice to represent us at Eurovision next year (or Hurts, preferably), but the UK just doesn't seem to care much anymore, so we'll probably end up with some random flopstar from 10/15 years ago -_-

La La Love is doing the second best on both UK and Swedish itunes?! That's the Cyprus entry right?

I voted for that, I am so surprised it didn't do better! Didn't even finish in the top half. :( How weird.

Adele and Eurovision LOL would just never happen, but surely she'd win as she hit #1 pretty much everywhere :heehee:

If there was a year UK actually wanted to win they'd send someone great with a great song and fully back it, but till then we wont do well. We did pretty well with Jade and Andrew which was backed quite well, so that again, with a better song/singer who knows. It is all politics though and is seen as very un-cool. However this Euphoria song is actually quite 'cool'.

They are similar artworks, but its not really a unique pose

Come on Loreen! :dancing:

If J-Lo actually gets top 10 today her fall could be huge next week :o #23

Either that or Loreen is actually DROPPING on iTunes :o

Is that possible? Wouldn't she have to be selling fewer copies now than she was before she sang last night, if it's a 48 hour rolling chart?

We should have sent Adele.

I don't think Adele would lower herself that much to do Eurovision. She could represent us in 2030

I voted for Cyprus too! So far it's looking like La La Love is going to be the second biggest hit over Europe from this year's contest!! :cheer:

Unfortunately I think Ivi's early draw hurt her position in the contest, but she still did really well!!

It's deserved! Extremely addictive song. :cheer:

She was hot too so I expected a top 5 placing at least! Her slot in the middle must have been forgettable yeh.

Can Loreen please just hurry herself to #1, I want it to be #1 on the Big Top 40! Even though she's doing far better than most could have expected anyway, she just needs that one final push!

that tends to be the problem, a lot of our finest talent like Adele won't want to 'lower themselves' to Eurovision, so we unfortunately nearly always end up with has-beens :(

Loreen is #1 on iTunes in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland and ofcourse Sweden!

WOW.

It's been over 2 hours since Loreen was at 0.95 and yet she's still sitting at #2. I think she might not get #1

WOW.

I can just see some americans looking at the itunes top 10 online and thinking WTH is this Loreen and why is she #1 in all these countries haha.

On another note listening to 'My Heart Is Refusing Me' & 'Sober' and they are pretty much on par with 'Euphoria'. If her and her team do this right all over europe with her album this girl can go down a storm!
