What a crap song at #1 now, oh well Loreen had her time there :(
Who would have thought about this number 1 2 days ago? WOW! A nice song... with the EP and Remixes I guess the number 1 is now secured, the have 20% lead over Fun. and it only gets bigger now and Loreen has no chance anyway. I'm glad Fun got this last week.
I don't like Feel The Love myself, but I'd much rather have it beating Loreen than dull shit from bloody Gary Barlow people are buying just because it's vaguely related to the jubilee. I also quite like surprising #1s, which Rudimental is (just not as much as Loreen is :P). Of course Euphoria staying at #1 is best but that was never happening.
Rudimental track also has a physical, so it should stay ahead of Gary Blooming Heck Barlow.

Need more pictures!

The feed has now reverted and Loreen is showing up at #1 again - but that must just mean RUDIMENTAL HAVE BROKEN ITUNES!

:kink:

Not bad for #1s this year we had debut hits from Gotye, fun., Carly and now Rudimental. I didn't expect Rudimental to be a #1 hit though, not bad on first listen.

Gotye, fun. and Carly have all had debut #1 singles that have sold bucketloads. It's left to be seen if Rudimental will be a genuine big seller, or a flash in the pan "moment hit" that people don't care about in 2 months time.

I can't see Rudimental being more of a lasting hit any more than Nero's Promises - but I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Rudimental should open on close to double Promises' opening sales I reckon - I think it'll have a run more similar to Louder/Hot Right Now than Promises, to use another dnb/dubstep example.

If it's close to Hot Right Now, then it'll become the biggest selling Debut of the year, ahead of Hot Right Now and Young!
Aw, I knew Rudimental would overtake her. At least she's still 20% ahead of fun.
To be fair, the same was done to both We Are Young and Call Me Maybe, and they've done okay in the end.

Yes but these two are debut singles by unknown acts not a new single by a superstar celebrating her 25 years in the business.....

Best top 3 in YEARS.

Really isn't 'crap', but k

Yeah. With those two, I guess it was more a case of them being put on iTunes, with the record labels not expecting them to sell much at all, and then when the songs started "accidentally" becoming hits worldwide (with fun. due to the Superbowl advert, and with Carly due to Justin Bieber's video), they took them off iTunes to hold them back. Other songs this was done with were Fireflies (I think this was probably another song that "accidentally" became a hit?) and You Need Me by Ed Sheeran.
