Ryan Tedder being a fairly famous American producer, what were really the odds of him taking part in Eurovision?

It has shown good stability so far, Eurovision was 5 days ago and it is still at #4. I can't see it falling out of the top 20 next week. I can see it doing something like 3-15 or something at the very worst.

'Where Have You Been' will just be another 'Disturbia' style success for Rihanna I reckon. Things will prevent it from peaking top 3.still good going for her though (obviously). Come on Loreen. I have aa feeling she'll be able to manage two weeks top 10 :D (i'm surprised she's still as high as 4 almost one week after the performance! Plus Capital airplay should kick in properly from Monday :D

After the peaks of 'You Da One' & 'Talk That Talk' ( :( ) I'm just glad she's back in the Top 5! :wub: Top 3 would be a nice bonus.

Where Have You Been is already getting old again for me - it's still okay and I am glad to see her doing well again after her last two singles didn't do much, but she has a much better song in the top 10 (still #6) which I'd prefer to see doing better :P

 

Ugh, Gary climbing into the top 10? I was clearly wrong about his frontloadedness then, although it's surely going to bomb out VERY quickly after the Jubilee nonsense is all over and done with. Should definitely reach at least top 10 officially now then but it's not going to be a #1 challenger like most expected. The album, however, could dethrone Paloma by the end of the week and if not it could climb to #1 next week a la the Military Wives album - I sincerely hope not. As above it'll bomb out very quickly after the Jubilee though.

Yeah. With those two, I guess it was more a case of them being put on iTunes, with the record labels not expecting them to sell much at all, and then when the songs started "accidentally" becoming hits worldwide (with fun. due to the Superbowl advert, and with Carly due to Justin Bieber's video), they took them off iTunes to hold them back. Other songs this was done with were Fireflies (I think this was probably another song that "accidentally" became a hit?) and You Need Me by Ed Sheeran.

 

there's no such thing as an "accidental" hit, hits are made for a reason...

do u think they just randomly covered 'We are young'on Glee and played it at the Superbowl in the space of a month???? why didn't they chose any other random song by another artist???

same goes for Gotye who was already a hit all over the world before reaching the US, or Carly Rae Jespen who Justin "accidentally" promoted by creating a Youtube frenzy over it :lol:

I can't believe Lawson have dropped so much in the last day! Very disappointing to see as it's a great song.

Glad to see Gary in the top 10 now though. I actually love that song, which surprises me as I really disliked the other Military Wives song. Just shows how amazing Gary Barlow is.
