Good sales, and interesting abour Rita, true. I've never really cared that much about sales personally that said.

Despite missing the chart yesterday I listened to it just now to see what Reggie said about it and he was only mildly patronising :o :o :o

I still felt it was uncalled for though, despite only being mildly patronising. It's why I gave up listening to the chart years back, the DJs treated anything that wasn't supposedly "cool" with complete and utter contempt without realising that the chart is listened to by a very large and diverse cross-section of music listeners, not just on Radio 1, but on regional radio stations too. They laugh and joke about acts like Katie Melua, Katherine Jenkins etc charting without grasping the fact that those artists are in the chart purely because the very same people who are listening to the show went and bought the music. Such stupidity from supposedly "professional DJs".

JK & Joel pretty much destroyed the enjoyment of listening to the Radio 1 Top 40 countdown. Hi, I'm Wez wasn't too bad in comparison but he liked to say "Hi, I'm Wez" a lot.

Nobody will ever beat the wonder that was Bruno Brookes. I don't think any DJ since (including Mark Goodier imo) ever made the top 40 sound as exciting as Bruno did.

Actually he used to say "Hi, this is Wes (Not Wes)".

Mark Goodier is still the best Top 40 presenter, and always will be.

Official charts so far..

Has Loreen ay follow up planned for a UK release does anyone know?Euphoria was a decent selling single and best Eurovision winner selling single in years, she really should capitalize on it while there is some interest in her and some momentum left.

It's this, she entered it into Sweden's Eurovision selection in 2011 but failed to make the final, it peaked at #9 over there:

She will remix it for the UK release though, hopefully it doesn't ruin it because this song is amazing - for a long time I prefered it to Euphoria until Euphoria really flew in my affections.

When is that supposedly released? With each passing day it's just going to flop terribly (i.e. not even iTunes Top 700 sort of flop!). :(
I read September, the album is out in October although that may just be mainland Europe. I hope it's soon though, although it's not out there yet so I hope it's not just quietlyreleased on iTunes and flops at #895 on iTunes like you say :(
My fear is a huge flop will follow Euphoria, i would love a Eurovision winner to have follow up hits. To my knowledge Gina G was the only Eurovision act (not winner i know) who managed to follow up Eurovision with a few hit singles and a relatively successful album.
And, er, Celine Dion, Bucks Fizz, Brotherhood of Man, Carola, Dima Bilan (albeit not in the UK but we aren't the ONLY music industry in the world...)
As if you guys think ABBA's achievements are anywhere in the same league as the great Gina G's :kink:
What i meant was recent years, Abba, Celine Dion along with others have had a more than an amazing career, what i mean is in the last 20 odd years who has done it. I did mention Gina G as she had a few hits( and i certanly know it was extremely minor in comparison to Abba for example) but all the others faded so quickly. I know some acts remain relevant enough around Europe, i think Helena that won for Greece has done well, but in the UK it just doesnt seem to happen. I would like to believe Loreen could break the trend but im not very confident about it.
