#615 on US iTunes Pop, only been on sale for 9 hours mind you (it's 9:10am in New York now).

At the moment, #1493 on iTunes Main = #343 on iTunes Pop.

Bet it is out of the itunes top 1500 by the end of the day. They cannot even crack the UK,,,,,, still do not get why they are in the states

I think everyone's forgetting that release dates in America usually don't mean a thing!

There's been very little promo and Chasing The Saturdays hasn't even started yet!

They have released it now to test their current potential 'Fan base' and simply test the waters.

They have only just tweeted about it's release - No heavy Promotion on Social Media sites either...

I wouldn't worry about where it gets to AT ALL at this stage, it won't be its peak.

I remember Cher Lloyd released 'Want you Back' having an official release date and that got top 100, after lots of promo but a month or so later crept top 10.

I don't expect BIG things....But it may go top 100 or whatever when the show airs ( Which isn't too shabby considering).

I reckon they will be big in States but like the UK for their Fashion, Personalities and overall 'Celeb Status' as opposed to their music.

TheSaturdays fansite have confirmed it on twitter, and a person who always gives out the promo information confirmed it!

#1418 now.

Edit - #1281.

I can actually believe it'll be released in March instead. Saves them travelling back to the UK in January to promote the song here when they should be focusing on America only at that stage.

Yep. People need to realise the US charts are so much different to the UK charts. A song gets the initial fanbase burst, before rapidly declining (unless you're Taylor Swift or Eminem - even then, they still decline at a pretty quick rate), but then a month or so later it will climb back up iTunes after promotion, airplay and everything is involved. With the UK, once you've made your initial impression in the chart, unless you promote and manage to get airplay as soon as you've made an impact in the charts, then it's very, VERY rare that after a month of making the impact and are out of the charts (fanbase buys never do too well), that you will go back up the charts to go on to have success a second time around with that same song. (Crap with words - hope it's readable  ).

EDIT: Basically US success is never given straight away. Ever. They need at least a couple of months to promote and get the US public aware of them! They need radio stations to interview/playlist them. They need TV shows like Ellen and Jay Leno to help get their names out there.

It's only 2:47 in America right now, if What About Us manages to go top 500 I would be delighted, Olly Murs when releasing troublemaker didin't break the top 500 despite promoting the song at the time!

Also, there's no video, so I'm expecting the video to be out next month and the radio debut next month aswell! (UK)

I kinda agree with the decision to put What About Us in March as they should fully focus on America. The iTunes version of What About Us is AMAZING.

US iTunes.

MSN is still a thing?

It's being sustained almost entirely by BuzzJack these days.
