Really hope it happens, if they get onto to Hot 100 will that make them the first British girlband since The Spice Girls or All Saints to do that? That would be a very good achievement

Sugababes went to #96 with 'Hole In The Head'.

While a Hot 100 charting would be amazing for someone like Olly Murs or Cher Lloyd (who had to do radio tours, school tours, small performances etc to build themselves up), I think there's a bit more expectations with The Saturdays since they've got their own E! Documentary and have the Vevo Lift thing. It could be a massive blow to their image if they flop with so much backing.

I'm just concerned about Rochelle's pregnancy. The song probably won't be anywhere close to it's peak until March/April, but that's when the song is getting released in the UK and Rochelle is supposed to give birth. How are they supposed to promote the song (at the most vital moments) if they're in the UK and are a member down?

This is all going swimmingly, so far! I'm really impressed with their progress so far, but it all just seems to be too good to be true and all that's happened is, they've reached 1 million views in less than 2 days, and made progress to the top 600 on iTunes! What does that say about us Sats fans in the UK?

Quick Update :)

US Main Chart:

Canada Main Chart:

I don't think we really need updates every 10minutes on the progress of What About Us, especially if it's only climbing or dropping 5 or 6 places!

ok :) But you'll only see a difference after every hour

Its amazing that theyre over 1 million views already! They are nearly at half og the 30 days total in just two days! This should easily become their most viewed youtube video!

I'm hoping they premiere in the UK soon. They probably wont need much promo here if they become really popular in the US because radio will play it much more if the song is a proven success. Having said that, I'd still hope they do lots of UK promo too.

Has anyone else noticed how uneven the shots are on the video?

Outdoor shots -

Only Rochelle has a solo set up

Pool shots -

Una gets a solo set up even though she doesn't have any lines

Frankie is nowhere to be found (and her shots are used from the first set up)

Vanessa is shown for a second behind Rochelle

Baseball shots -

Frankie doesn't get a single close up or any camera time during the dancing

Frankie and Vanessa are the only ones with solo set ups

Aren't music videos with groups supposed to have an equal amount of set ups for each girl? I just find it weird how the entire last minute only focuses on Frankie and Vanessa and how the pool shots (besides Mollies) are completely pointless.

I think they've done it so that they do have an equal amount of time. They haven't done it as and where people sing.

They couldn't fairly put Una anywhere because she doesn't sing any of the verses!

Rochelle's at the beginning with her solo shot, Una & Mollie get solo shots in the second verse and Vanessa & Frankie get their solo shots at the end.

One of the comments on YouTube is that the Sats fans are trying to get #TheSaturdaysOnEllen trending.

EDIT - and Twitter is blowing up for them. Type in "The Saturdays" and then "all Tweets". There's literally like 20 tweets about them every few minutes, mostly from Americans. I've seen a few "just discovered the Saturdays and i'm obsessed" Tweets which is amazing.

I've just realized that What About Us is the first single they've released where Queen Rochelle gets the opening to herself.

I am not sure why people are going on so much about the UK getting the Sean Paul release, as no doubt on the digital EP there will be a The Saturdays only version. Also by not leading with that version in USA/Canada means that when the original starts to slow down they can throw out the featuring Sean Paul version and get a boost.
