Meanwhile, Robbie admitted he is "ultra-competitive" and hopes for his own self esteem that his new album can top the charts to "stave of" his lack of confidence. On what a number one would mean, he said: "'Thank God I don't have to hate myself today. Thank God that they've not deserted me, left me, because without them who am I?'

I don't even know what you could say to someone who feels like this.

It's very sad but it must be exhausting for him.

Yesterday morning on the radio ( Pat Kenny Newstalk ) was Paul Harrington who is an Irish songwriter , he & Charlie McGettigan won the Eurovision back in the day , amazing songwriters in their own right. Anyway Paul was on yesterday morning where he featured a piece about Robbie , his writing skills & listed off all his achievements over the years. He also talked about She's The One & the story behind that song etc. Paul then sang his own version of the song. Unfortunately somebody knocked at my front door & I missed the rest of the interview . I chekced out the show of Playback but they only have pieces of the show on Podcast so cannot hear the interview anywhere.

Paul had posted yesterday morning on Twitter that he eas featuring Robbie on the show but he did not say Williams just Robbie so not people knew until he went live. Anyway it was nice to hear somebody like Paul talk with respect for Robbie as a songwriter .

ROBBIE GETS JUST DESERTS Robbie Williams plans to create Las Vegas-style residency in Middle East

WydTzPC.png

ROBBIE Williams will be pressing ahead with plans to create a mega-hotel in desert city Dubai for huge residency-style shows.

The former Take That singer, who has just kicked off the next leg of his European tour and is putting the finishing touches on his next album, said: “I’m building my own hotel.

“If it’s a success I will replicate what I’m about to do. “Residencies don’t exist in Dubai, they should. I want to be the man to start that. “It’s easier for performers to be in one place. You know they can stay in Las Vegas for a long time and have their families there in one place. When you’ve got kids, touring is different. “It would be great to invent something for people like me where you go from Vegas to Dubai, Dubai to Vegas, Vegas to Dubai."

In a revealing new interview, the star said he’s been working on new music. Alongside the debut dance-music album with his group Lufthaus, Robbie has also been finalising his next solo record. Robbie said: “The album is being produced right now. “I am ultra-competitive, I would like it to be my 16th No1.

“Those sorts of things just stave off feelings of lack of self-worth, so there’s no great punch-the-sky moment when it happens, but what does happen is, ‘Thank god I don’t have to hate myself today. Thank god they’ve not deserted me, left me, because without them, who am I?’” Robbie told YouTube channel Weaponised: “I have a song called Comments Section. I don’t read comments any more. It took me a while to wean off them, but I’m out.

“Occasionally I get stung because I just find myself somewhere there. I just get reminded every now and again it’s a place I shouldn’t go and visit.” He added: “I picked out my two friends that are famous in England and I went and read the comments section. Second comment in, ‘I hate these two, almost as much as a hate that fat t**t Robbie Williams.’

“I couldn’t get away from my comments in somebody else’s comments section.”

Williams’ first foray into the Web3 space is a partnership with AI-powered lifestyle metaverse platform, LightCycle, a virtual city with elements of art, film, gaming, music, fashion, sport, property and retail. A personal performance of Williams’ 25-year anniversary live show, designed as a 3D metaverse experience, will take place in the virtual city. LightCycle is due to launch in the fourth quarter of 2023. The musician’s initiation into the realm began with his AI-assisted composition of his signature 1997 song “Angels (Beethoven AI).”

The partnership was formed between Williams and metaverse, Web3 and AI infrastructure provider Vertexlabs.uk. A preview of the Williams metaverse event will be unveiled as part of a LightCycle preview night at Edge Global Web3 and AI investment summit, taking place in Hong Kong at the AsiaWorld-Expo on Sept. 26 and 27. Williams said: “Staying connected with my fans has always been important to me. I’m fascinated by the Web3 space – it’s full of creativity and mind-blowing potential. For anyone wanting to know more about Metaverse

The headset only costs $300

Facebook wants to lean into the metaverse. Here's what it is and how it will work

What will I be able to do in the metaverse

Things like go to a virtual concert, take a trip online, view or create artwork and try on or buy digital clothing.

The metaverse also could be a game-changer for the work-from-home shift amid the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of seeing co-workers on a video call grid, employees could join them in a virtual office. Facebook has launched meeting software for companies, called Horizon Workrooms, to use with its Oculus VR headsets, though early reviews have not been great. The headsets cost $300 or more, putting the metaverse's most cutting-edge experiences out of reach for many.

For those who can afford it, users would be able, through their avatars, to flit between virtual worlds created by different companies. "A lot of the metaverse experience is going to be around being able to teleport from one experience to another," Zuckerberg says.

Tech companies still have to figure out how to connect their online platforms to each other. Making it work will require competing technology platforms to agree on a set of standards, so there aren't "people in the Facebook metaverse and other people in the Microsoft metaverse," Petrock said.

I guess the price will come down as more people get involved.

It sounds mind blowing
