I still wonder what his mental illness is about. For those who are fans longer than 2006 when I started. Had there been articles about that also in early times aside of drugs and drunk?

Aside of that. There had been an article about his wealth in a German newspaper lately. They estimated it with 175 million pounds.

They wrote that he has his hands in many projects not related to HIS music.

I think he indeed is a good business man. He supports the BAND muscial which is very successful and gets his share but with a minimum of personalinvestments while TTIII is very active.

I guess that he will be on two new songs so that he cashes on the GH asideof the old hits. But if he really plays at three further differet places this year, I doubt he will be a huge part of the promo. I can see him doing few special gigs with TT in Britain or Germany. But again, TT is doing great as a 3 piece and they will do a world tour which will likely not include the hugest arenas in the countries they are less popular. I don't see Rob doing it. He invests only (almost) to the highest gain. This is what is better for his health. I wouldlove if he would do something on TV

I noticed that. Robbie hasn't even been to see the musical live yet the three TT boys have done loads of publicity for it. I'm guessing at the start he agreed to support it, put his name to it and have the initial promo done on the understanding that he's in LA and ongoing support for it would be limited.

I think one of the fundamental differences between GB and RW is that Gary appears to enjoy the showbiz lifestyle. I noticed he went to the Brits this year and to the recent TV awards. I'm guessing because he enjoys them. I think he is quite a gregarious man. I don't think you ever see Robbie at these events unless he is promoting an album. He very rarely seems to go to anything showbizzy unless he is working.. I think Gary and the other TT boys know him pretty well by now and they acknowledge and appreciate the input he provides but are understanding of his contradictory personality. His name helps to sell the concept of "The Band" at the start of the promo but his physical presence may not be there.

All very true Laura , he only makes appearances if he has to

I would think his future trips to Russia will be put on the long finger for a while so his tour plan might be out the window for the mo :o

I'm guessing the three extra gigs weren't going to include Russia as he said they were venues he hadn't visited on a long time. I think he means all in South America.

He does quite a few private gigs in Russia though doesn't he. I wonder if that will change?

Me too. He always does great videos. B-)

I love the PLAR video, it is one of my fave recent Robbie songs :cheer:

the first new season of x-factor coming up in which Rpb is not in the run for a judges place he always had been according to the press... he is becoming old news now :-)

I am wondering if he will do more dates for his tour or if we will not see much of him this year

Personally I think they'll be plenty. :)

I hate that XF , did not watch it at all last year & Robbie's performances on the show always had me hiding behind pillows

I have no worries about the press forgetting about Robbie, it's just a quite time now after the end of the tour so nothing much to write about unless it's handbags at dawn with Jimmy Page

It]s Soccer Aid next & we will see plenty press coverage then ... maybe continuation of the tour later in the year

I haven't watched XF for years it's so past its sell by date, and yes you're right Tess I always watch Robbie's performances through my fingers. :arrr:

I find it very funny actually, I am there waiting for it to go all wrong & it usually does , poor fella  Robbie for me is the ultimate live performer when he is touring or when he does those intimate shows with a couple of thousand people , he is not good doing live where he personally is not in control , he s amazing when it comes to performing in stadiums

I think the only time I've not been nervous for Robbie on XF was when TT performed the Flood.

You could see he was excited then but no sign of nerves.

The New Years Eve gig last year. You could see how nervous he was then too. Like you say. It's live TV and constraints.

Someone commented on Upfront last night about how good Progress was. :)

I LOVE that album and everything about that time and tour.

people ask me whats my fav album of mine ....and its the one the did with the boys ....I listend to progress last night and f***ing loved it x

Agree, I loved the album, I love the Flood, the tour. He was happy. Still like RKTVS and some other songs later. But Progress was simply the best. I had hoped he would join Take That for the GH next year. But I highly doubt it.

Here's a reminder from that very tour ...

Progress was an incredible album and era, I love that music so much!
