Yep. She stopped 'Makes Me Wonder', with 'Umbrella' (twice, IIRC) and then once again when 'We Found Love' prevented 'Moves Like Jagger' (THANK GOD!) from getting there. I'm a Maroon 5 fan, but 'Makes Me Wonder' and 'Moves Like Jagger' aren't their best tracks, imo. So I'm happy they didn't get to number 1 over some of their other material. I'm quite annoyed MLJ was such a huge success, tbh and has sold over a million! It's so dated and boring. :( Hopefully 'Payphone' does well for them though!

I don't agree with that - at least *some* of the purchases of the fake will be by mistake, so those people will return to buy the real version.

 

If it doesn't get to #1, it'll be because it wasn't good enough, not because of the fake version.

That was the same with Moves Like Jagger too. It was released in all the other countries much earlier, but was held back for ages in the UK.

And I wouldn't be surprised Reggie will play the real version by Maroon 5 on Sunday, as far as I know there isn't a video for the Precision Tunes version if the track is top 10 on Sunday, how are Radio 1 going to get round that one. :unsure: oh yeah a fan video just like Nicki Minaj "Starship" -_-

The only reason it didn't work the first time was because only a select few were using it. I agree, it should be enforced back for all labels.
