Hi Chart Chat fans,

 

We've decided it's time for a refresh of the chart chat section so we're asking for your help on this one.

What we need

 

Some designs from our creative members (I know you're out there) in respect of new banners for the below items:

 

1) The chart chat banner- the brown one has had it day and we would like something new and eye catching!

 

2) The Sunday chart show logo- same as above!

 

The only stipulations are that they must contain (respectively) the words "Chart Chat" and "Sunday Chart Show" AND that no individual artist's faces are included in the banner (that's for the artist forums).

 

What's the prize?

 

The opportunity to have your design as our banner for the next year!

 

Who Decides the winner?

 

Chart mods and admin will make the ultimate decision as to which is best.

 

You can make as many contributions as you wish and make an entry for both of the different banners we need!

 

So come on Buzzjack show us what you can do!! :D

It does, it's definately had its day. (No disrespect to the one who designed it though, whoever that may be) The Sunday Chart one looks a bit more fresh, but indeed a makeover is never bad, right? :D Look forward to seeing the entries!

Finally we're about to get new banners! The chart chat one is so out of date. Just look at the artists in it :lol:

 

Leona, The Killers, Britney Spears, Elton John, Elvis, Spice Girls, My Chemical Romance, Timbaland, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Justin Timberlake, Sugababes, Celine Dion, Sean Kingston, Gorillaz, Amy Winehouse, Paramore, Mariah Carey, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Shakira, Anastacia, Girls Aloud, The Beatles, Kanye West.

 

Not many of these are still having big hits anymore. :(

 

The chart show one isn't as bad, but an update for that would be great too :heart: I can't do art, be it computer or drawing :lol: but I know there are some great designers in the forum :D

There should be a link in the lounge and another in the Art, Graphics and Creativity forum for maximum exposure (unless there already is).

 

Buzzjack has some seriously good artistic posters. :D

 

(needed to edit, "seriously good artists" could mean artist forums. Darius? ** shudders ** )

Might as well be the first (if no-one has sent them in a private message) to put mine on. Not the best but I only have Photoshop Elements and it's very basic sometimes (I should really fork out for the proper version :lol:)

I wouldn't have a clue how to actually start designing this, but I think what is needed is to emphasise what in essence the chart actually *is*. And that is a list, and movement within that list. So I'd have 'no.1', 'no.2, 'no.3' etc in diminishing size fonts. The words (perhaps with the appropriate arrow) 'climber', 'faller' and 'non-mover'. Also 'new-entry' & 're-entry'.

Well, there's a few ideas if anybody wants to run with them :)
