What a stupid choice the British public confuse me sometimes although Andrea has an alright voice she's not going to do well and it's just going to be another Leanne situation Leah really should have won I hope Will will sort her out with some good record deal which I'm sure he will.

I do actually think that Andrea will do better than Leanne, even if the single will be about 10 places higher and the album will sell 1,000 copies more.

But the BBC just don't know how to handle their singers. Eurovision is a good example of this. This is a massive blessing for Leah...

This is oddly really funny. The show spent an entire series trying to get a credible, marketable winner, and then at the last minute the public just went 'nah, you're alright'. Just amazing.

*bows down to the Great British Public*

I can see Will leaving. Hopefully he'll take Jessie with him.

The thing is you can't tell the public who to vote for. The more the coaches/judges (it applies to X Factor too) go on about how *contestant* is going to win, it just reinforces the public to vote for the underdog. The British love an underdog, and always will.

Sadly I have to agree that Andrea probably will go the same way as LeAnne did last year. If The Voice continues to produce winners that don't do anything charts wise within 3 months of the series finishing then I'll be surprised if the BBC have a fourth series.

However, I will say kudos to BBC for actually announcing the singles are now available to download and having Andrea perform again at the end. It was more like a final compared to last years anti climax where they announced the winner and cut to the closing credits. :D

I think Angel is her winner's single, Holly said something like they're all available download 'and of course Angel by Andrea'.

It reminds me of Mikey in Big Brother! I dont find the fact that she is blind funny, just the way everyone else is around her! Like Leah smiling and poking her tongue out at her ... errrr...

Oh me too, I'm living the hilarity of it all just that she won  I really need a life.

I actually think Andrea will do really well. Her voice is so haunting. Plus by what Danny has said she has written songs which are supposedly great so I look forward to hearing music from her. I imagine Leah will be successful also.
What a mess for the show. Andrea will do nothing and I put money on Leah charting higher than her by quite a bit next week

Yay! Andrea won

It's not surprising at all imo. A lot of older people watch the show and Andrea's voice is something they would prefer to listen to, rather than Leah's vocal acrobatics which become screechy and uncontrolled at times. Andrea will be more of an album seller, rather than single seller. Hope she has some great material on her debut album.

Yeah I actually think Andrea and Leah will both do OK at least. Danny and Will say they're committed to helping with them, and whatever they did for Bo Bruce and Tyler James was good enough and I think Leah is much better than either of them and adaptable too, plus Andrea has a voice to sell albums among an older audience who are more likely to buy. Neither will rival Leona Lewis' Spirit era or anything but I'm more confident for their post series success.
Such a mess of show now with that outcome. Leah was the clear winner and the only one who could have success a few months down the line. There's no way that will.i.am is returning next year after Tyler and Leah both should have won. He also tweeted that someone shouldn't audition for the show straight after Andrea was announced as the winner. Jessie probably won't return either as she's come fourth twice in a row. I did hear though that Danny and Andrea had been working on some new material and wanted to get it out before Christmas.
I remember looking at the odds a few minutes before they announced the final results and Leah had odds of 1/10. :o There must have never been such a supposedly clear favourite in a reality TV show, and surely never one that didn't go on to win. I can't think of a bigger shock odds-wise at the moment. :o

I'm sure the day before Big Brother's final in 2007 the twins were so odds on that the bookies started paying out or something, but of course Brian actually won!

Also iirc it might have been the week before the final but Leon Jackson was something like 30/1 to win (other way round, eventual winner having very long odds but still).

But you're right, I'm not sure there were ever odds this short for a non-winner in a way quite like this!

Andrea winning is a joke, she was flat more times than she was in tune. Still Leah will probably do better for not winning.

Matt going first was definitely the right choice. I just don't know what Jessie saw in him. She really had the weakest team with Matt & screaming Ash.

Andrea only won through getting the sympathy vote because she's partially blind. She does have a beautiful voice but she would send me to sleep.

Leah is so unique - I would say that Leah will still have the more successful career.

It's been reported that Will is going to whisk Leah to New York this week in a bid to get Leah's career started.

Also it's been reported that after Saturday's result that Will may not be on the show next year.

I think both Will and Jessie said prior to the final they were unsure whether they were going to return to the show next series!

It shows even this week:

3 weeks for Leah in the chart with I Will Survive peaking at #8 and is still at #15

Also she's at #36 with Killing Me Softly With His Song and new at #85 with I'll Always Love You after just 1 day's sales.

Andrea is at #75 with My Immortal

Even Mike Ward is higher than Andrea with 2 singles: When I Was Your Man at #60 - Picking Up The Pieces at #72
