Probably just the fact that it's such an obvious attempt to ride on the coattails of the success of Katy Perry/Jessie J's similar sounding hits. Jessie only just got away with it, but Rita's being marketed as the next big thing, a huge and promising new talent, so as good a pop song as it is, to have her come out with something like this so early on into her career is going to irk some people. It doesn't exactly prove that she's worth the hype.

WHAT?! This is a Buzzjack-friendly song... why the hatred for it?! Still think it's going to be huge, personally. But certain posters that aren't liking this is surprising me. :lol: It'll grow on them, I'm sure.

This could POSSIBLY be me, as it does just sound like Katy who I obviously love. I prefer this to 'R.I.P', but it's all a bit TOO similar, and I'm not LOOOOVING it, as much as I do really like it.

Hmm. I guess. We've not really seen anything revolutionary from Rita just yet. But she's just building her fanbase at the moment and playing it safe. It's working because she's getting Capital and most their teenage fanbase on board :lol: It was the same as Rihanna's and Jessie's launches. Play it safe for the first era, but then as each era goes on, steadily improve on the strong points of the previous eras. (Obviously it's too early to say how Jessie will follow up, but I imagine that's what she's doing)
I can tell I'll get bored of it VERY quickly, seeing as this is pretty much exactly the same song as 'Domino' and I got bored of that quickly, but I'm really liking this at the moment.

(I actually listen to this song a lot though LOL, I can see her having potential)

She looks like Rihanna's twice removed cousin.

If she looks like anyone, it's Chelsee Healey from Waterloo Road :lol:

I'm all for generic pop but this is just trash. I think this Rita chick is just doing anything to get a hit. Her songs show no personality and sound like knock offs of Rihanna and Katy Perry. Her voice is as common as a red bus in London.

The album follows a couple of weeks after the single and she's revealed the cover;

Terrible font. The photo isn't exactly great either.

I actually really, really like the picture. The font + border is a mess though.
I love that cover!! :wub: Looks so much like a Rihanna cover though, but that's a good thing!
Rita I'm sorry, How We Do is FANTASTIC, anything better than Jessie J.
Just back from Ibiza and this was played EVERYWHERE! including in my room! :lol: sure fire number 1!

I don't care if it's generic. I don't care if it's basically Last Friday Night p2.

This song is the bomb.

Oh dear. I really love 'Roc The Life' when she sings it live, but that studio version? The chorus is SO limp compared to when she does the 'li-li-li-li-li-life' bits live. Sounds very much like a Rihanna demo, which is a shame because the song had so much potential.
