July 12, 201212 yr I'm a little disappointed with this. It sounds more like a demo to me than a polished song. She also sounds really bored or tired during the whole thing. There's zero energy in her vocals.
July 12, 201212 yr This wishes it was up to the levels of I'm Not Mad! The production on that was seriously lush. Aye, I re-listened after that comment and realised that the production on I'm Not Mad is pretty good. The song sounds/feels very similar to this though imo.
July 13, 201212 yr I think I prefer the first version that was posted. I think the middle 8 is good, but there isn't much added by an extra minute except more repetition.

How is it fresh in the slightest? :blink: Its probably one of the most generic songs out there right now. I agree that she sounds very bored on it as well. I think Misha B's song is the best out of a bad bunch tbh.
July 13, 201212 yr Author It's sort of fresh but then sort of not, if that makes sense? :lol: It's nice to hear something like this amongst generic pop 'bangers', dubstep/dnb shoehorned in and alternative tracks around at the minute, but it sounds very 2009 (as has been mentioned, it's basically Left My Heart In Tokyo mixed with I'm Not Mad and a bit of Pink/Kelly Clarkson because that's basically Amelia) so it's a bit 'heard it all before'. It's refreshing I suppose to hear something of that sound coming out now.

I like how pretty clean cut pop it is! No featuring rapper or some stupid dubstep breakdown slapped on towards the end to make it sound current. It's a very solid pop tune and isn't really following the trend of what is popular right now. I really hope it does well.

July 14, 201212 yr I think maybe at one point it could have been generic, but right now it does sound different to whats on the radio. Wasn't sure on first listen, it is a tad dull and repetitive....but I really like it so who cares.

I think it's going to be a surprise number 1 contender! I originally had a number 6/7 peak in my head and a swift fall out the chart. However, it seems to have gained loads of airplay/support already! :o
