Why are Swedish House Mafia as high as #14? :o (apart from the fact it's amazing etc..) What was/is the peak for this on iTunes?
Interested to see how The Saturdays 'What About Us' does tomorrow...

I doubt it'll do anything until the TV show premiers.

Same, but it'll be interesting to see if they can break the top 100/200 on iTunes purely with "fan base" buys before the inevitable plummet.

I don't think they will go higher than 700. Olly Murs didin't seem to do anything with Troublemaker and he's got a decent sized fanbase/ much larger than The Saturdays.

 05. Justin Bieber 'Beauty and a Beat'

 06. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 'Thrift Shop'

 07. Rihanna 'Diamonds'

 43. Maroon 5 'Daylight'

 73. Cher Lloyd 'Oath'

 86. 50 Cent & Eminem 'My Life'

^ "My Life" really did plummet, having peaked at #1 on the iTunes chart upon release (debuting at #22 on the Hot 100 that week). Imagine it'll pick up in the coming weeks, could well be a big seller in the UK in January. Still undecided on it.

I don't think My Life will recover, because it's not getting played on top 40 radio. It's impossible to sell without it. It's only getting rhythmic airplay, and that never seems to help sales.

Hopefully if Thrift Shop is huge, songs like My Life can get top 40 airplay again.

I believe it peaked at #15 when first released. I think in this case it's a natural progression of increasing airplay and popularity. It's really an awesome song.

Of course it crossed my mind that at some level the lyrics could have some meaning to people in light of recent events... it has certainly happened after other major national tragedies, e.g. Enya's Only Time and Enrique's Iglesias' Hero.

I was actually thinking it would be the latter! But i think the acoustic version would have been more suitable. But the song is so, so good! Hope it gets as high a peak as this on the official Hot 100!

Woo for 'Oath' climbing! :D

Anything Could Happen back up to #23 after falling as low as #36 - anyone know why? I'd assume it's related to the XFUSA performance somehow but I'd like to believe it's just inexplicably spiking.
Since when was that this high, what happened. :o Not exactly something to benefit from the "gift card" effect either but yay for Cher.
As expected We Are Never Getting Back Together getting a great gift card effect, now #07
