July 5, 201213 yr Want U Back #35  Glad Chers doing so well! Hopefully another peak next week with it being #12 on itunes and airplay still rising :D
July 5, 201213 yr Yes Nero! #81 is a much higher H100 debut than I expected it to make. Big hit now please. It's really taken its time to build up, wonder why it's suddenly taken off in the past couple of weeks?
July 5, 201213 yr I see Wiz Khalifa is no longer a rapper  Mmm OK week. I didn't expect Ellie to rise but having 9 non-movers in the top 10 is more than a bit annoying at this stage. Nice progress for Cher, although I expected her to be a tad higher. She won't be stopping anytime soon anyway. Nero's debut though :o Pity they won't get any higher but it's nice for them to have a Hot 100 hit. EDIT: Britster you have both Justin and Carly City down as #14. I'm guessing everything from Carly City down should be one place lower until #19 (there's no #18)? If you get me. EDIT #2: Billboard have Good Time at #18? Scratch what I said initially, everything is fine except Carly City. Edited July 5, 201213 yr by Umi

July 5, 201213 yr Wow at Nero smashing at #81. :o Will be interesting to see how 'Promises' fares overall. Also Ed Sheeran is slowly getting there. Maybe next week will see 'The A Team' crack the Billboard Hot 100 as well? :D Thought 'Wide Awake' would've been #2 but at the moment, I reckon 'Call Me Maybe' is going to refuse letting go of the no. 1 spot for a good few more weeks.
July 5, 201213 yr Late! Pfft. You edited that into your post!!1! I reckon 'Call Me Maybe' is going to refuse letting go of the no. 1 spot for a good few more weeks. Sadly I think 'Payphone' has it in the bag next week - they only missed out this week because of the Complete My Album feature significantly lowering their sales, that won't be anywhere near as much of an issue this week. What a chart run though: 3-3-3-2-3-3-3-3-3-2-2-1- Edited July 5, 201213 yr by BBB
July 5, 201213 yr It's strange seeing the US get songs available to download so much earlier than we do here in the UK, yet they take so much longer to get to number 1 and often get number 1 after that song already has been number 1 in the UK. (If that makes sense) I know it's the way of the US charts, but it's just so strange looking at it in that way (well for me it is )
July 5, 201213 yr Pfft. You edited that into your post!!1! You're right, I did! More than half an hour before your post! Sadly I think 'Payphone' has it in the bag next week - they only missed out this week because of the Complete My Album feature siginifcantly lowering their sales, that won't be anywhere near as much of an issue this week. What a chart run though: 3-3-3-2-3-3-3-3-3-2-2-1- They're ~85% of Carly on Kworb right now. And the Complete My Album feature can still hurt them next week (albeit far less than it did this week). I don't think they have the #1 in the bag next week at all, depends how much of an airplay lead they get on Carly I guess.
July 5, 201213 yr It'll be really unlucky if Maroon 5 don't officially get #1 given they've been #1 on digital sales, airplay and streaming, just on different weeks.
July 5, 201213 yr Maroon 5 are ahead in both streaming and airplay, and I think the gap betweem them is increasing in both of those, so maybe that can overcome Carly's advantage in downloads. It's true that the Complete My Album affect might still affect them a bit in their 2nd week. It looks like Justin Bieber (who's on his 2nd week), hasn't fully recovered yet from it.
July 6, 201213 yr So the question then is, who'll replace Maroon 5? Ellie or Katy Perry? I predict another big 10points+ climb for Cher Lloyd next week as well. The song's just nailing it, isn't it?! As for Ed Sheeran - *yawn* - crack that Hot 100 mate!!
July 6, 201213 yr Seriously how slow are the charts moving lately, I'm definitely moving towards the inclusion of streaming to blame. Awful idea.
July 7, 201213 yr Seriously how slow are the charts moving lately, I'm definitely moving towards the inclusion of streaming to blame. Awful idea. Including streaming is a good idea imo, but yes, it's what's making the chart slower, for sure.
July 7, 201213 yr Including streaming is a good idea imo, but yes, it's what's making the chart slower, for sure. I agree, it's just as relevant as airplay tbh with Spotify being so prevelant, although clearly it's the same songs sticking up there on streaming so they're sticking up there on the Hot 100 overall as well. I do like the idea of things over than sales counting towards the chart in one way, but maybe streaming could be less weighted or something? But then iirc it's not massively weighted anyway, I still do think it's partly to blame though for it all being so slow.
July 7, 201213 yr And sales are not slow? Those songs in top 5 have been in digital songs top ten for ages! The chart just reflects the current situation as it's supposed to.. It's not chart's fault that people can't get enough of Payphone, Call Me Maybe and STIUTK.
