Frank Ocean is only available digitally right? And his physical isn't being released till next week? If so, would it make him the first person to get #1 on the albums chart from digital sales only? If he gets there that is.

Physically is not released till Monday, but I wouldn't be surprised if some albums have been sold over the counter before the release date if the new stock comes in early, the sales report on Monday might shed some light on it.

Wow at Frank Ocean, looks like we could possibly have our first ever download-only #1 album this week then! 3k is still a bit of a way to gobut I think he could have a chance. A bit annoying Lianne will now have to settle for #3 max but with a lack of hit single that's not too bad, I think it could hold up pretty well too.

F+TM have pretty much not pulled away from M5 at all - they have been very close combined on iTunes the past couple of days though so that's hardly unexpected. Come on Florence, don't lose it at the last second :(

Mama Do The Hump back in the top 40 :cheer:

She's not going to lose it as long as she remains well ahead of M5 on iTunes.

Frank Ocean would be an amazing #1 in the albums, really enjoying channel ORANGE right now...
Could this, however, be the first time 2 male US RnB albums go to #1 on the album chart consecutively? It must be really rare it happens here, especially consecutively.

I would hardly call the "reformed" Chris Brown R&B.

Florence + The Machine and Frank Ocean getting the #1 single and album this week would be the most unexpected and brilliant thing ever.

I'd class Fortune as an RnB album, since it has 2 dance/euro songs, and 17 RnB (including hip hop/soul) songs.

Still firmly rooting for a Florence victory this Sunday. I don't care if it gets demoted in Gezza's Non No 1s of the 10's thread in 2020 ( :P ), I just want this to happen. :D

:D

When I first saw the 3000 sales gap, my first thought was "Oh no, Gezza's going to demote it :( " also!

Good to see Keane holding up in the top 40 still, its looking to have a decent enough chart run now, their last album left the chart far too quickly.

but as Bre said she's not well ahead, combined M5 is very close if not ahead a bit already.

But Florence has more than one version of her single, too...

Also, she has that 3k cushion she's held all week.

Well M5 has it at #2 (0.800) and #20 (0.2118), combined: 1.0118 (And also a third version low down at #493)

Florence:

#1 (1.00) and #234 (#100 has 0.02, so I would assume less than 0.01), combined at least equal with M5

Oh dear. That means it's close at the top. But because Florence has been top all week, she will become No.1 at this moment.

I think Maroon 5 are probably going to snatch their third week at no. 1 in the last few hours of today. :( If they just stay roughly 0.02 ahead of Florence and not much more during today, then 'Spectrum' could still be no. 1 tomorrow but by 1.5k or something much closer than the 3k lead held all week.

Otherwise bleh!!!

I think I make Maroon 5 #1 when combined :(

I would hate to see Florence just miss out by 10 units, or something stupid

Techically, Maroon 5 are ahead now on iTunes so it's just a case of how much they sell today compared to 'Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)'. 3k lead up until Thursday night, so if they're gaining then it's just by how much will they close the gap? Bare in mind Florence will still just about ahead up until yesterday early afternoon (curse you weekend effect!!! ). This is going to be one of those extremely close weeks.

I just hope she doesn't lose it by something stupid, I do like acts staying longer at #1 but in this case Spectrum is the better track and deserves to be #1 this week.

What are sales likely to be this week? There's no particular reason for M5 to have much of an increase is there? Maximum of around 75k for number one, say 1/3 of sales made on Friday/Saturday means about 25k, to catch up a 3k lead they need to be an average of about 12% over 48 hours, that's about worst case for Florence.
