July 11, 201213 yr Come on Florence!!! :w00t: I will be gutted if 'Spectrum' doesn't make no. 1 this Sunday. Not happy to see Maroon 5 back at #2 on iTunes, just got to hope Florence keeps a decent lead until Sunday.
July 11, 201213 yr 3000 seems like a fairly insubstantial lead to me. Have a gut feeling Florence will end up #2 by Sunday.
July 11, 201213 yr Is there any particular reason why Ben Howard is up 5 despite 6 new entries above? Must've had some exposure somewhere...
July 11, 201213 yr I really hope Florence and the Machine can hold the number 1 single come Sunday. Big fall for Cheryl in the albums, didnt see that happening. Happily surprised sing is as high as number 31 for Gary Barlow in the singles chart , i really did think the album version would stay top 40 longer due to low sales, sing is having a much nicer chart run now than anyone imagined.
July 11, 201213 yr With today 10% still lead on ITUNES and tomorrow (I'm hoping), She could get to the weekend with a 4.5-5K lead and that should be enough. Let's hope!
July 12, 201213 yr Maroon 5 are number 2 on itunes now and have 3 versions available so id say its a battle between them and florence, i love both songs but maroon 5 have already been number 1 so i hope florence can finally get a first number 1.

Maroon 5's third version is barely doing anything now, it's been plummeting at the speed of light for the past week or so and is all the way down at #407 now, while the album version of Spectrum is currently at #266 (EP at #38). Florence is still increasing her advantage over M5 for now but probably not by much (in fact it might even be a small enough amount that other download sites could make the difference and M5 could be gaining on them). July 13, 201213 yr Midweek Charts Update: Ocean looking to make charts splash Source: MW Friday July 13, 2012 By Paul Williams Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange has emerged as a late challenger to top the UK artist albums chart this weekend after closing the gap on leader Newton Faulkner. The New Orleans singer-songwriter’s Def Jam/Mercury album was showing up as a new entry at six on midweek sales on Wednesday, but two days later it has moved up to two, cutting its sales deficit on the number one from 43.6% to 21.9%, according to Official Charts Company Data. Ugly Truth/RCA act Newton Faulkner continues to head the market with newly-issued Write It On Your Skin as he seeks out a second chart-topping album. However, by the end of business on Thursday it was fewer than 3,000 sales ahead of Ocean’s album, while Warner Bros act Lianne Le Havas’s debut Is Your Love Big Enough is currently third, making the entire top three new entries. Two other brand new albums are among the Top 10 sellers at this stage of the week with The View’s first Cooking Vinyl outing Cheeky For A Reason sixth and RCA act Adam Lambert’s Trespassing 10th. A&M/Octone/Polydor’s Maroon 5 album Overexposed is down 2-4 and RCA act Chris Brown’s Fortune drops 1-5, while the rest of the Top 10 at this point are heading down with Asylum/Atlantic act Ed Sheeran’s + falling 4-7, Emeli Sande’s Virgin album Our Version Of Events slipping 5-8 and the Sony-handled Graceland by Paul Simon moving 6-9. Island act Florence + The Machine’s Spectrum continues to hold a narrow lead at the top of the singles market with the A&M/Octone/Polydor-issued Payphone by Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa little more than 3,000 sales behind in second place, having returned to number one last Sunday. Interscope/Polydor’s This Is Love by will.i.am featuring Eva Simons holds at three as Don’t Wake Me Up by RCA’s Chris Brown drops 2-4, while Warner Bros’s Stooshe remains at five with Black Heart in the latest Sales Flashes. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 39 Only Singles 1 Florence + The Machine (3k ahead) 2 Maroon 5/Wiz Khalifa 3 will.i.am/Eva Simons 4 Chris Brown 5 StooShe Top 10 10 Nicki Minaj [PTA] Top 15 15 Adam Lambert Top 20 18 Nicki Minaj [starships] Lady Antebellum Top 30 David Guetta/Chris Brown/Lil Wayne 30 Jessie J [Domino] Top 40 Skrillex/Sirah 32 The Vaccines LMFAO [sAIKI] Rizzle Kicks [MDTH] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Newton Faulkner (3k ahead) 2 Frank Ocean 3 Lianne La Havas 4 Maroon 5 5 Chris Brown Top 10 6 The View 10 Adam Lambert Top 15 Ben Howard Top 20 Rush Top 30 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 24 Katy Perry Keane Top 40 David Guetta Lady Antebellum Florence + The Machine NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles Coldplay & Rihanna 5+3 Katy Perry 5+4 Cheryl 10+2 Rihanna [WHYB] 10+6 Paloma Faith 20+3 Rita/Tinie 20+7 The Wanted 20+8 Emeli Sande 20+9 Albums Emeli Sande 5+3 Lana Del Rey 10+3 Adele [21] 10+4 Rihanna [TAT] 10+5 Paloma Faith 10+10 Jessie J 20+1 Nicki Minaj 20+5 Kelly Clarkson 20+7 One Direction 20+9 Cheryl 30+3 Olly Murs 30+4

July 13, 201213 yr Fabulous for Frank Ocean, could he be #1 by Sunday? (EDIT: just saw the post above, YAY) Top 40 LMFAO [sAIKI] Rizzle Kicks [MDTH] EWW (I used to like both but c'mon, they're not that good) Edited July 13, 201213 yr by SKOB
July 13, 201213 yr Yay! :w00t: at Florence Still being Number 1. Also Hope The Vaccines can still be Top 40 come Sunday!
July 13, 201213 yr Frank Ocean is only available digitally right? And his physical isn't being released till next week? If so, would it make him the first person to get #1 on the albums chart from digital sales only? If he gets there that is. Adam looks like he'll drop out of the top 10 it seems. Hopefully not though.
July 13, 201213 yr Frank Ocean for number 1 on Sunday please! Amazing album, so glad it is doing well.

I've heard of some people talking about their physical version of the album, but maybe it's only in the US or something (so far)? Could this, however, be the first time 2 male US RnB albums go to #1 on the album chart consecutively? It must be really rare it happens here, especially consecutively.
