Misha has to climb into the Top 5 by tomorrow to have any chance of No.1, and it looked like she has failed.

Looking at the Rita situation:

If she releases it next week, she may find it hard against Karmin

The week after that, nobody, so she has to release it then before the end of summer upheaval begins.

Rudimental  #05

Can't get over how well this is holding up

Feel the Love and Black Heart's success is such a nice surprise imo. They're really good songs. And shows it can pay off to try something different.

Wow at Rudimental being back in the top 5, they always seem to be able to go back up to #6 with relative ease usually at the weekends but I think it's been a couple of weeks since they were last top 5. Hopefully they'll be a non-mover/climber on Sunday :D

Really starting to love 'Both Of Us' now, I was probably a little bit biased against it because of the Taylor feature to be honest but she's not too offensive on it at all. Glad to see it becoming a hit, hopefully another top 10 (it needs to peak at #2, #7, #20, #22 or #27 to continue B.o.B's chart pattern [/geek]).

 41. Angels - The xx

Aww at this being a pre-order track, no return to the charts for The xx just now then although I'm sure they'll get another top 40 hit off this album at some point.

Ben Howard 'The Fear' back up to #49, hopefully another new peak this week then? He needs to reduce 'Old Pine' to 59p to increase its chance of being a fifth top 100 hit (or indeed a fifth top 75 hit now 'The Fear' has belatedly done that itself).

 72. Crew Love (feat. The Weeknd) - Drake

The Gaslight Anthem now in the top 100 (at #98) with '45', perhaps another rock band getting a debut top 100 hit this week?

Glad to see it becoming a hit, hopefully another top 10 (it needs to peak at #2, #7, #20, #22 or #27 to continue B.o.B's chart pattern [/geek]).

I don't understand the chart pattern?

From his first era (incl. a couple of featured appearances) his peak positions consisted of only 0s, 1s and 6s, from his second era so far they're consisted of only 0s, 2s and 7s.

60 Don't Go There (Giggs feat. B.o.B)

01 Nothin' On You (feat. Bruno Mars)

01 Airplanes (feat. Hayley Williams)

16 Magic (feat. Rivers Cuomo)

61 I'll Be In The Sky

01 Price Tag (Jessie J feat. B.o.B)

-x-

72 Strange Clouds (feat. Lil Wayne)

07 So Good

46 Both Of Us (feat. Taylor Swift)

:kink: It's a bit tenuous but still unusual!

Oh gosh Bre! How on earth did you find that pattern?

Very interesting nevertheless!

Oh dear, how long did it take you to recognise that!?

I hope The xx's third album has a cover with just the word 'the' on it.

Because then I can make The xx with the album covers :heehee:

Oh dear, how long did it take you to recognise that!?

He's always noticing the most random patterns in everything. I can't understand how his brain works.

And I thought I was strange for noticing a patten in Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events' early chart run. :P

It's not exactly that hard to notice the big clumps of 6s and 1s in the chart history that gets posted in the chart show thread every time B.o.B shows up in the top 40 surely? I've noticed much more 'obscure' patterns than this one.

Ooh, Florence pulling further ahead of M5. M5 are much more likely to overturn any lead Florence builds up over the week by Sunday this time though, with F+TM's lack of EP sales (they still have some obviously, but they would have amounted to maybe a few thousand last week but only a couple hundred at best this week).

"Spectrum" remix is being used on BBC 3, so that might be helping. It's on one of their adverts.

Some great songs reduced this week. Nice to see Ben Howard's "The Fear" reduced and  to #48. Hoping it can climb enough to perhaps even go top 40 this week or next week.

Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (WDKY)" is  to #116! It was down to the 140s/150s earlier in the week. Poor "Dark Side" though, to #188. I think it would've been a much bigger hit had they reduced it in its third charting week, when its airplay was at its peak. Oh well! Her singles have gone 4-8-40 as opposed to 1-36-66 from the previous era, which is a huge improvement!

Didn't even know it had been released :o

Surely that's a large part of the problem?

She had to have been #1 *yesterday* to gave any chance of overall #1...
