Florence is still No.1. Good

Rest of the top 40, crap

Any one on twitter campagining for Rita yet?

Florence still has a very comfortable lead and is beating then quite comfortably combined, she could stay at number 1 this week :D with lower sales, albeit

 20. Both of Us (feat. Taylor Swift) - B.o.B

:cheer: Never did I think I'd be so happy to see Taylor in the top 20!

 25. Turn Up the Love (feat. Cover Drive) - Far East Movement

Biggish jump from the last update (the pop bars posted at ~2am this morning where it was #30).

 47. The Fighter (feat. Ryan Tedder) - Gym Class Heroes

From #52 on this morning's update.

 62. Crew Love (feat. The Weeknd) - Drake

From #75 :D Top 40 next week hopefully?

 64. Bom Bom - Sam And The Womp

So is this likely to be a proper hit or just a thing Chris Moyles propels into the chart for about a week? Someone said the other week Chris would probably try and do one more chart campaign thing before leaving the breakfast show so maybe this is it.

Three songs top 100 for Frank Ocean (No Church In The Wild #39, Thinkin Bout You #74, Pyramids #88)! Hopefully the latter will give him a first top 40 hit as the lead artist, climbing quickly now and will no doubt be promoted to the R1 A-list within a few weeks.

∆ 'Tessellate' at #104, didn't like this song at first but it's really grown on me. Would love it to be a second top 100 hit for them.

Well 'Bom Bom - Sam And The Womp' has been added to the C-list on the radio 1 playlist. Therefore we may be looking at this years 'We Speak No Americano' and 'Loca People' as no doubt Chris Moyles will try one another attempt to get a number 1. (that's if 'Molly' doesn't do so well)

By the way just an enquiry. Which song has had the biggest boost on UK iTunes from being played on Radio 1's Chart Update?

ISTM we need a sort of partial OAOS, with songs being released here on the first Sunday after they become available anywhere. That way fans still get the songs relatively quickly, but their initial sales don't get split over 2 chart weeks.

This would be a great idea, it might speed up the charts a bit too. I mean Rita Ora would certainly be #1 now if it was released for example, whereas in reality when it's out (still another 3 weeks or so!) it will sell bucketloads first week and drop. Some songs might not actually reach #1 as they normally would under this method but it would be so much better all around to be honest and they'd sell more consistently.

Great idea, that cost Lady Gaga's Born This Way number 1.
