so 500-700 copies every day? The lead now is bigger than yesterday... so maybe 2000-2500 lead until the weekend? I think this should be enough.

Stooshe being up to #3 is a bit of a surprise but it makes sense what with their second version doing so well on iTunes - who ever thought they'd peak more than a month after release especially after 'Love Me' bombed down after week 2? :o

That explains StooShe, I didn't know they had a second version.

And I love reading your ramblings :D

And the reason for Kylie in the chart is because you can find a phyiscal form of her single from her official site but its limited to 5000 worldwide, its already sold out. I missed my golden opportunity there :snif:
'Blacl Heart' is such a grower of a track. I wasn't really keen at first but it's one of those songs that niggles at the brain and end up with "daddy i've fallen for a monster" stuck in my head.

I love that part aswell. It's such a huge chorus!! I pretty much loved the song from first listen though tbh.

Completely agree. I love it and can't stop singing it. Plus the three of them are absolutely stunning in the video

As did I. :(

And I've always loved Black Heart! It's amazing.

What is the peak chart position for bangarang? Might beast it this weekend, if noit its staying power is great!!

And there was I, thinking 1 copy would be enough...

I've always loved it, but the fact it's sticking around has made it really grow on me again and now I love it more than ever  Such a surprise hit though, I expected something like 7-19-28-39-56 etc. but it's on it's looking set to maybe re-peak a month after after release!

600 lead for Florence + The Machine after being 50 behind yesterday, not too bad. Maroon 5 are quite a bit behind them on iTunes now even when combined so hopefully they can build up a lead of a few thousand before M5 inevitably re-overtake them on iTunes at the weekend!

Yay at Misha still holding onto the top 10 for now although it'll certainly fall out by Sunday. Heard the Angel song for the first time on the R1 chart update earlier, it's very different to what I thought it would be. From the title I was expecting something similar to 'Me Without You' by Loick Essien, but it just sounds like a Labrinth song (although less good, but I still like it).

Yay at the climbs for David/Chris/Wayne, Jay-Z/Kanye, The Wanted, Skrillex/Sirah and Rizzle Kicks also, plus a strong debut for B.o.B and Taylor - they're now top 20 on iTunes so hopefully not too far off that officially by the end of the week? And 'Greyhound' back in the top 40 :cheer: A bit surprised to see Gotye not climbing back into the top 15 today (Lady A in there instead <_<) but he is still at #16, could hang on to the top 20 for a few more weeks yet.

Like with Newton last week, Elton will probably pretty much hold that 3.5k lead at #1 - it would be nice if we got some actual sales here, because unless Paul Simon is really far ahead of Maroon 5 we're on for another very low selling #1.

YES at Nas being #4 at the moment, really hope he can somehow hold onto the top 5 so his position gets announced on the chart show! He should definitely have a top 10 debut in the bag now though which is a massive improvement over his previous peak. 'Cherry Wine' could give him a top 100 singles chart entry as well, although it's unlikely.

Adele back in the top 10 again :D Helped a bit by the ITV1 Nation's Favourite #1 thing of course but TBH I think it would have re-entered the top 10 this week anyway even without that. Always good to see Ed back in the top 5 again as well.

Expected to see Newton drop lower than #6 at this stage, he could fall a few more by the end of the week but I thought he could rival Marina's drop after the pathetic sales he topped the chart with. Ouch at Frank Ocean being down to #9 but obviously it's still download-only at the moment, it'll be right back near the top next week with the CD out.

Train's album has had a pretty weird chart run: 10-29-25-15-22-39-51-53-60-32-25-18-17- and now on the brink of re-entering the top 10. Clearly '50 Ways To Say Goodbye' having some impact there, I wonder if that'll be another 'proper' hit single for them or one like 'She's On Fire' that charts outside the top 40 and ends up being forgotten.

Florence's voice really grates on me, so I'm hoping that Maroon 5 will re-take the top spot - and I think they will do it. Not overly enamoured by the Maroon 5 track, but it's the lesser of the two evils :P

I was surprised to see Stooshe at number 3 too, it's not a bad track but I am starting to tire of it already.

Assuming it remains Elton at number one and Paul Simon at number two (which I think it will) it'll be a great top two albums this week. Yes, it would be good to know how much of a lead Paul Simon has over Maroon 5, I suspect it will be enough for him to hold on to number two. Of course, as usual, the sales at this time of the year are likely to be dire whatever happens.

Midweek Charts update: Sheeran could join mentor Elton in top five

Source: MW

by Paul Willams

Elton John could be joined in the UK top five by his Rocket company’s Ed Sheeran this weekend as he seeks out a first albums chart-topper in more than 20 years.

Elton’s Mercury-issued Pnau collaboration Good Morning To The Light continues to lead the UK artist albums market with A&M/Octone/Polydor act Maroon 5 placed second with Overexposed, according to the Official Charts Company.

Also figuring among the top five sellers at this stage of the weekend is Ed Sheeran who is managed by the Rocket Music Entertainment Group. His Asylum/Atlantic album + moves 6-5 on midweek sales with Def Jam/Mercury act Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange dropping 2-3 and Sony Music re-issue Graceland by Paul Simon rising 8-4 following his Hard Rock Calling headline appearance.

The Def Jam/Mercury album Life Is Good by Nas is showing up as a new entry at six, while XL act Adele’s 21 is expected to return to the Top 10 this Sunday having climbed 11-7 in the latest Sales Flashes.

There are no arrivals among the Top 10 singles at this stage of the week with the same 10 tracks in last Sunday’s chart returning. Island act Florence + The Machine’s Spectrum and the A&M/Octone/Polydor track Payphone by Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa are one and two at this point of the week as they were last week, while RCA act Chris Brown’s Don’t Wake Me Up climbs 4-3 and Warner Bros signings Stooshe progress 5-4 with Black Heart, while This Is Love by Interscope/Polyor’s will.i.am. featuring Eva Simons drops 3-5.

X Factor 2012 finalist Misha B is just outside the Top 10 in 11th position with her newly-released Relentless/RCA debut Home Run.

I think Flo will win the race fairly comfortably in the end - she's been significantly ahead on iTunes all week (even when combined).

Kylie at 36! WhoOOP! Gotta feeling it'll drop out of the top 40 come Sunday though, would of loved the track to reach a new peak. Such an erratic chart run! Glad I managed to get a physical copy!
Yes, Glad Florence is looking on course for a second week at number 1 :cheer: I'm also happy No Church In The Wild is looking to sneak back in at #40. It's really grown on me over the past week or so :D

That's me done, I'm off to see the Batman movie :D

I reckon StooShe will be #5 come Sunday, which means it would have spent 3 consecutive weeks at that position. It’s has had incredible stability considering how much Love Me bombed! It looks likely that Kylie’s Time Bomb will be Top 50 come Sunday, a big drop from being just outside the Top 20 on Tuesday’s midweek, but I’m happy with it making a return to the Top 100. Nice to see Jay-Z/Kanye back in the Top 40, too.

Frank Ocean at number 3 – is this the album that was download-only, but its physical is now out? I think Frank Ocean could be number two come Sunday. Nas down to six, but at least it should reach Top 10, probably #8-#9. Nice to see Bee Gees at #18 after quite a fall last week and Keane continuing to climb, would be nice if it could return to the Top 20.
