 46. We'll Be Coming Back - Calvin Harris

 70. Heatwave (feat Ms D) - Wiley

Nice early lead for Calvin, maybe he could still do it! Fantastic starts for both, I suspect both will do upwards of 100k this week.

Don't like the lack of dot after the 'feat' for 'Heatwave' [/pedant]

Shouldn't they have a dot after "Ms" aswell?

Ms Dynamite?

No, I don't think it's that Ms D.

It's quite hard to believe it was just over 10 years ago that Wiley got his first chart hit. I wonder how much longer he'll be able to get chart hits for.

Calvin now up to #38.

Wiley sold out in my opinion

Dont really think he has sold out, he still makes music for his original audience, he has recently made 15 freestyles and put them up for free download for his orignal fans, the reason he is making songs like Heatwave is because he has just been signed and i think he may be under a bit of pressure to achieve a good chart position.

I feel the same way, even if some of the posts are a bit unnecessary, he only joined in May and is only trying to fit in. Even I'm still doing the same, albeit not on the scale of MatthewFirth. I just post things that end up being wrong and I have to edit half my posts anyway

Some of us who've been here a lot longer. also rub people up the wrong way sometimes... ;)

Wiley vs Calvin Harris reminds me of Professor Green vs Labrinth from last year. We need more chart battles like this in future.

I'd like to suggest one between Katie Melua & Taylor Swift - for me, that'd hold a *lot* more interest... :)

Now it's only 31 - Calvin and 36 the other stupid song :( Calvin has lost the race...

Maybe it's because it doesn't has Example in the file name??? Stupid ITUNES :((((((

I thought it was 'Ms. D' but it is 'Ms D' on the single cover actually. So he's okay with that... :P

Wiley already made up a lot of ground on Calvin, really still can't see past a Wiley #1. I suspect a '(feat. Example)' will be added later in the week for Calvin, happens most of the time when the featured artist is't credited on release (see 'This Is Love' and 'The Power').

I'm defiantly team Calvin this week. It's better than Wiley, which to me will be another throwaway number 1. Was DJing at a family event yesterday, played Calvin and the crowd went nuts, dancing and singing along. I also mentioned on the mic that it's out at midnight too :D

I think there's worse out there. Like Dizzee hasn't done a grime song in forever (apart from when he did one a Jammer's birthday recently ). I can't really think of any grime artists who are mainstream that haven't sold out. The only grime song that's been in the charts recently is POW 2011.

That said, I think a grime song could be a proper chart hit one day. Considering songs like Louder and Promises were able to get to #1, surely a grime song can, since they can be pretty much the same as those.

Roll Deep just released a mixtape for free aswell, although I'm not sure if Wiley is on it.

Only if the loser never troubles us again. Or the winner, for that matter.

I heard this amazing Katie Melua song once, called The Flood. I wouldn't mind if she got #1 with a song like that.

Now Calvin at #6 and Wiley at #7.

And Underworld at #12 still. Would've got in the top 10 if it wasn't for the new releases. :drama: I hope it can still get back in.
