Conor did a cover of Crew Love aswell, which I sometimes see in the top 1000. He must be a Drake fan. I'm excited to listen to his album.

Top version of 'Payphone' is all the way down to #9 now :o :cheer:

 75. Aurora - Hans Zimmer

Drumsound & Bassline Smith @ #74 & #319, A$AP Rocky only #112 :( Disappointed at the underperformance of both of these.

Calvin and Wiley are both still at 1.0000, unbelievable they're so close and so far ahead of everything else :o I think Calvin is going to win now.

01. Wiley - Heatwave

02. Calvin Harris - We'll Be Combing Back

Eurgh!

I'm sure it'll make a comb-back and be #1 again by the end of the week :kink:

YAY for Heatwave though!

I like heatwave, especially the chorus  but We'll Be Coming Back is just so much better! I prefer tight weeks rather than an obvious number one!

Heatwave is much better, really hope it wins! I think ExCal will do it officially though.

Well, crap. If Wiley gets a lead now he could still be #1 (even in the mids), there's been nothing in it between them ever since shortyl after release.

(This will be one of my favourite top twos in ages though (they are my current personal chart top 2 with Calvin higher) so I really don't mind who wins, just rooting for Calvin slightly more, not least because I don't want him to get 4 #2s in a row).

Nooooooooooo I can't beleive it's happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well being a flop chart mod I hadn't listened to either until just now and I don't really like either to be honest. What I don't understand is that given what he clearly CAN do (cheryl, Florence etc) why he produces something like this (which in part sounds like it was done on an old casio keyboard in the 80s) is beyond me. Perhaps it will grow on me. As for Wiley words fail, mind you 2008's "song" "Wearing my Rolex" should have told me something.

I am OFFICIALLY old! :o

Seriously addicted to Example's new song. WHY OH WHY is it being delayed until mid-September? I'd rather Wiley gets the #1 this week and Example can wait until then! Love his solo stuff

Pound The Alarm  #8

Payphone  #9

Come Together  #13

Well, Kworb has both Wiley and ExCal neck and neck so I've been properly proved wrong in thinking 'We'll Be Coming Back' would be no. 1 with a decent lead over Wiley.

'Heatwave' would be such a non event of a #1 imo.

Jesus, this is right down to the wire! on another note, wonderful to see Caliban's Dream top 5, its a really excellent and unique piece of music and would be a great top 10 hit, Arctics getting their first top 20 single since 2009 would be welcome too even if its a cover...

So wait, Calvin is back to number 1???

I hope so. :D

I've completely underestimated this "chart battle" as it looks like it's going to be close all week. We'll probably see both singles decreasing at the same rate towards the end of the week.

Some Nights  #135

Getting a little radio play. Can't wait for it to explode!

I also would really like to see fun. get a second big hit in the UK. It's already doing really well in Australia and New Zealand (just like how 'We Are Young' started). Could well be a future top 10 hit in about a month's time once radio airplay kicks in, and the video gets more airplay.
