I'm trying to scrobble Spotify right now, but it's not working? I connected to last.fm on Spotify, but it doesn't seem to be scrobbling. Oh well, my stats are messed up already anyway.

Scrobbling from my phone has been working for the last few hours so that at least seems to have been fixed :cheer:

I went to "connect to last.fm" or whatever within Spotify, and it says I'm connected. Is there something else that needs to be done? lol

It would happen the first time ever I try to scrobble it :lol:

I noticed last fm scrobbled my Spotify streams the other day :D

 

Now we need to discuss which is floppier: last.fm or plug.dj :thinking:

They updated an hour ago on their status page to say that the scrobbling issue has been fixed, but that any scrobbles lost today weren't cached so they have to be manually scrobbled or something.

You know, in a rare ray of positivity, they've done one thing right, they've sorted out the album charts to only allow 'official albums' on the chart. Which given the album thing is more prominent now is desperately needed, I was having loads of BJSC compilations fill up my top albums just through sheer volume (and lack of will to change in the past because albums were hidden away).

 

Now, I can see lots more pretty pictures as well as the revelation that my top 5 albums of the last year are entirely made up of Nightwish and Lindsey Stirling :D

I don't notice this, I'm still getting 'Wake Me Up' as my 3rd most played album as well as many other singles on my albums chart.

Well, those are official 'single albums', I didn't mean those. Those should be on the chart.

 

I mean they've stopped putting stuff like 'BJSC LIII' up there, which is not an album. That was 5th on my all-time before I noticed and deleted the tags from the tracks. (no, I have no idea how that got so much higher than all the other BJSCs) But, despite my tracks from those still having the tag, none of them are showing up on my album chart anymore which is good as they obviously didn't have artwork loaded on last.fm and looked messy.

Did you have the BJSC songs tagged with 'Various Artists' (or similar) in the Album Artist field? I don't think the new site holds Album Artist data anymore, so I would guess the BJSC albums have been split to a separate one for every artist involved (as per the regular Artist tags).

Anyone having issues?

Nothing for me has scrobbled since September 3rd..

On my Last.Fm Scrobbler everything is "Cached" and nothing is scrobbling from my Live Music (from Sonos).

Also - nobody has posted on their forums in about week, which is odd.

It's still not scrobbling Youtube / Plug.

 

This update has ruined my life.

I fixed my issue, had to completely reinstall their desktop app and my Sonos Player.

Probably missed about 100+ Scrobbles.

I wish there was another option, but I've been a member since 2006 and have almost 75,000 scrobbles so don't see any other viable options at this point.

I'm thinking of resetting but I'm not sure :lol: My stats seem to be so messed up, a whole bunch of songs have more/less plays than they actually should, plus it didn't scrobble at all for a few months this year. I'm not sure if I'll do it cos they'll probably just get messed up again and it used to have problems scrobbling my iPod properly and now it won't scrobble it at all anymore :( Says 'iTunes not running'...

I might just forget I ever signed up to last.fm tbh :lol: it's just killing my OCD, listening to songs on YouTube/plugdj etc. and they aren't being recorded :/

Back when I was crazy about last.fm, I think I actually cared more about the shoutbox and tagging than the stats (altho stats are fun!). I can't tell you how many times I have randomly gone to some song's/artist's/album's page and seen an old shout of mine :lol: There are soooo many. I love shouts that are actually an insightful few lines, rather than just "OMG THIS SONG <333 [17]" (altho I've done that a few times myself)

omg this is getting right on my tits, nothing has scrobbled from my phone since the 28th January :/ Neither the proper scrobbler or cloudscrob bothers to actually scrobble.
