Taylor's success is quite amazing when you take everything into account (i.e. most of what she releases flopping, and this song only being about a week old and having had hardly any airplay). Really could be big.

Also, amazing to see Devlin and Ed Sheeran at #11!!! :w00t: I think Runaway peaked at #11 on iTunes, which was annoying, so nice to see this looking to go top 10.

Can I also add that Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jespen will be avaliable from tomorrow as it's featured on Owl's new album which is out tomorrow.

Any early predictions for the first couple of weeks for that song.

Apparently (according to vidcapper) it's album-only until the single is released. It really should've been released by now though!

That's a shame, it could've gone top 10 this week.

Yeah, quite a weird release strategy to releases the album before the single

It happened a few times with big artists, like Blah Blah Blah by Ke$ha, You Da One by Rihanna and Best Thing I Never Had by Beyonce. By this I mean those post-album singles were already in heavy rotation on Capital, Radio 1, etc. before the albums were released.

Call The Shots was released after 'Tangled Up'

Headlines was released after 'Greatest Hits'

And when is the single out?

Call The Shots wasn't the lead single from Tangled Up, it was Sexy! No, No, No.

I wasn't following the charts back then, so did Call the Shots get cherry-picked from the album straight into the chart as a result?

Quite clever (if it works) actually. Especially making that track "Album Only". If people are desperate for it and also like Owl's previous stuff, then I can't see why they'd not invest in the album if they wanted it that badly. Although, it's always a risk. You could end up paying £8.99 or whatever for just the one track. But at the end of the day that's what the previews are for.

Also I'm gutted Devlin's doing so well with this crap when 'Runaway' struggled to get top 10 :( I still listen to 'Runaway' a lot. It's a beautiful song and Yasmin is on fine form. His face is easily the most punchable face ever! (Ok, maybe 2nd to Dappy).

S!NNN was released 3rd September

Call The Shots was released 26th November

Tangled Up was released 19th November, so to be fair S!NNN was hardly the 'lead' it was the first, but not the lead

It depends on what you mean by lead. Some people see it as the first single from the album (I do), others see it as the one preceding the album, like My Heart Takes Over for On Your Radar.

Yeah I guess you're right.

Like personally, I'd say MHTO was the lead from OYR, as apposed to Notorious (although I wish it was AFU.. sure it woulda done better lol)

Owl City's album is just released digitally tomorrow - the CD follows on September 17th - the week after the single is released. So I don't expect it will have a big impact on the album charts and it will probably not affect the sales of the single.

ok, then amazon has got it wrong - i better never ever rely on their release dates

Good Time's popularity is high, so it should be rush-released. Otherwise it will do what Rita's done. It will still go to No.1 regardless.

This would have been the best week to release it. It would have been Taylor and the annoying Bom Bom, and would still have good sales going into next week, therefore being JUST beaten by Little Mix.
