September 8, 201212 yr Whoever has done some recycling from Ashton's early 2012 entries is a cert for top5. Don't think it's quite as good as my entry from earlier this year but it's still a tune. Elen Levon was another ridiculously obvious entry. I'd be interested to see (not that we ever WILL of course) what RISK FACTOR it was bestowed.
September 8, 201212 yr Since the Agnes album leaked (or rather was released) earlier in the week, a total of five people have commented on it. It's hardly as if Buzzjack is all over it. I can't understand the logic of "all people voting for the song will be people who already have the album". That's basically saying it won't appeal to anybody who isn't an Agnes fan isn't it? I'm baffled as to how anyone could come to that conclusion, or as to why the mods feel it's their job to decide who a entry might appeal to.

I thought this would be veto'd to be honest but it's a good track which I think will do very well as you say. I think I know who is sending it as well.
September 8, 201212 yr What do you mean by Sketchy? It just seems like certain criteria are more applicable to certain tracks on certains days with certain weather conditions. I know this all sounds like I'm calling all the mods out on being crap, I'm not, it's just a few entries I would have gauged as infinitely more veto worthy than Jess have slipped through recently. *HIYA GRIMES LAST MONTH*
September 8, 201212 yr Elen Levon was another ridiculously obvious entry. It's a good song but it's her weakest song by far. (7.5/10 compared to two 11's)
September 8, 201212 yr We have very recently changed the way we go about the veto. It's all part of the changes we made from that big mess of an argument a few months ago. Cal actually spends a whole heap of time researching each track and assigning them a low, medium or high risk based on factors like popularity on Buzzjack, Blog hype, chart performance (UK, International and personal), past BJSC performance etc. From there we tend to prioritise discussion of the high risk ones, then raise any issues we have with a medium or low risk song. I think I'm right in saying that so far all of the veto's since we switched system have come from the high risk category. Thanks for letting us know that! That does seem a great way of sorting things, and a big thanks to Cal then as doing that for every track must take ages!

September 8, 201212 yr I have seen mine on one other chart so I'll be fine I think, it hit #1 in the act's home country but it's really not Buzzjack fodder or anything so yeah I'm not worried!
September 8, 201212 yr Don't you just HATE when you find a great track to find out it's already been entered and DNQ'd. :(
September 8, 201212 yr I believe my new entry features in a total of ZERO personal charts *.* My entry appears in one, and I only realised that when I did a search for the artist in the personal charts forum. The poster in question doesn't participate in BJSC and is, as far as I'm aware, an unknown poster. I was pleasantly surprised to see my entry there anyways. :D
September 8, 201212 yr This discussion is starting to worry me for my own entry. Don't veto it please, I have limited Internet access this weekend. :P For the record, I saw Jess Mills as an obvious veto, mainly why I didn't try as it's fantastic. She just seems far too big a presence to consider for me, especially with her new single.

Yeah, just because her album will be deleted from the internet and everyone's PCs in two days and nobody will ever be able to listen to it again. You can't judge it all by activity in the first couple of days. Not everyone downloads albums the second they are out GEEZ. The idea is to stop entries that would be heard without BJSC and Agnes' new songs are very likely to be. I know I was going to download her album the day it leaked but then I remembered that I don't care one single bit about Agnes. Edited September 8, 201212 yr by ◢p◣

September 8, 201212 yr Ashton has confirmed! We have gone French for le first time. The one you sent me earlier?
September 8, 201212 yr The one you sent me earlier? That's the one! Decided I probably wouldn't find anything better so just stuck with it as it's a pretty catchy fun little number.
