Posted September 6, 201212 yr 'The Voice' runner up is scheduled to release the new single is available to download from 14th October. lNxxTKWAd50 I'm getting the early-Timberlake comparisons. It's very good, I think it'll grate on me quicker than most other people, but for now it sounds quite refreshing.
September 6, 201212 yr That's really quite strong (and doesn't pander to current trends!). Well done Tyler James.
September 6, 201212 yr I really like it, but it helps that it sounds like it's straight off Justin's first album. He's such an awkward-looking popstar though.
September 6, 201212 yr Wasn't a fan of him on the show but this is pretty good, especially the chorus. Not that keen on his voice though.
September 6, 201212 yr HAI My name is Tyler James and I'm going to do a JT rip off. Except it's going to be piss weak and I don't really have a very good voice. BYE
September 10, 201212 yr On Radio 1Xtra numerous times I've heard a song by Tyler James that features Dot Rotten, and it's very good. Sounds like a marginally more poppy Drake imo. I haven't watched The Voice, but I never expected an artist from there to do a song like that!! It's so good.
September 10, 201212 yr It's a good song but his falsetto really grates after a certain amount of time (something which I noticed after the first few live shows on The Voice UK). I think it'd sound better if it was a female singer
September 12, 201212 yr I'm really liking this, I didn't watch The Voice so no idea what he's like, but this song is really quite good. Looking forwards to more from him.
September 12, 201212 yr Does anyone have an mp3 or something of this been trying to find it for ages!?
September 15, 201212 yr I really, really like this. He was the only thing i liked from The Voice, and this shows off his talents perfectly. It's very "Cry Me A River" esque
October 4, 201212 yr "Single Tear"'s been pushed back to 21 October, with the album (A Place I Go) released on 29 October. Here's the tracklist from HMV: 1. "Single Tear" 2. "Same Old Song" 3. "No Come Down" 4. "Baby Don't Care" 5. "Higher Love" 6. "Prisoner in the Rain" 7. "Written in Stone" 8. "Heart Shaped Hole" 9. "Worry About You" 10. "I Don't Give a Damn" I'm pleased to see "Higher Love" included! It was definitely his best performance throughout The Voice UK. I'm re-listening to "Single Tear" now and it's grown quite a bit; I'm getting used to the falsetto and I really like the production (despite being very faux-Timberlake). If any of the finalists could become a success, it's definitely him.
November 1, 201212 yr Such a great album but its flopping on its arse - Was #38 on Tuesdays mids but had fallen out of the Top 40 by Wednesday  Really thought this would achieve a Top 30 place - Doubt we will get a 2nd single or if we do no real backing for it :(
