PSY is/are now @ #1 on iTunes - is there enough time left to overhaul The Script / will.i.am before Sunday's countdown?

  Hopefully the song will get deleted or something.

Nicki Minaj & Cassie - The Boys  #80

Nicki Minaj - Va Va Voom  #107

PSY is definitely 2012's answer to Sak Noel.

Funny, a few weeks ago people were saying that about Sam and the Womp.............

what is Gangnam Style likelihood of a #1 next week on the UK Single Chart?

Absolutely certain. DJ Fresh is the only "big" release, but I can't even see it making the Top 10

I just hope it sells ridiculously well next week and the week after before starting to stabilise to give Leona a chance of the #1.

I thought "Live Like We're Young" was having an almost-OA/OS release?

I thought it wasn't out until the 30th. Are they releasing it this Sunday now?

I think it was supposed to premiere next week AND be released on that Sunday, but it 'leaked' <_< yesterday, and i guess they could still be keeping the release date the same. This way it can build up loads of airplay before release too.

I guess that's a possibility. I'm glad they aren't on the X Factor alongside Leona on the first live show. Ne-Yo shouldn't really be a threat. I think Swedish House Mafia are the biggest threat, and maybe Conor/Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo better not perform 'Turn Around'. :o

PSY is probably this year's Rihanna "We Found Love", does a couple of week's at #1, drops a place a week later, and probably return back to #1 for another week or 2 :heehee:

It's already opened up quite a gap at the top on iTunes - it'll be interesting to keep an eye on popbars during the rest of today and tomorrow:

Psy's going to be huge. It'll be this years 'Party Rock Anthem' (except less weeks at number 1 due to the time of year).

When is Nick Clegg's sorry song being released?

A PSY/Nick Clegg top 2 would be the best in a LONG time

PSY might get to no1 this week then and next, then 1D the following week!!

I don't think PSY will get #1 this week, unless he gets like a 50% lead by the end of the week, since it's only Friday, and he wasn't even top 10 at the start of the week. Probably The Script for a 2nd week, and the PSY after that.

And this is really awesome:

Alyssa Reid will be #1 next week and sell a massive 156,454 copies. :)

lol. I wish Alone Again did that. I love that song.

Alone Again is perfect. The Game is also really good, it's very commercial too, the lack of support is really sad TBH. :(

On Sunday (September 16) Gangnam Style finally broke into the Official Singles Chart Top 40, hitting Number 37 four weeks after its UK release. In Wednesday’s Official Chart Update, the track surged up 21 places to Number 16. Today (Friday, September 21) it has climbed even further, smashing into the Top 10 at Number 6.

According to the Official Charts Company’s latest sales data, Gangnam Style is just 22,000 copies behind mid-week leaders The Script and Will.I.Am’s Hall Of Fame. And with sales of Gangnam Style accelerating by an average of 20% each day this week, and Friday and Saturday's sales still to be counted, could Psy become the first ever K-pop star to hit Number 1 in the UK?

22,000 is still a large gap to close with only less than 2 days remaining though. I'd reckon PSY will probably go up to around #3 this week at best.
