I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed, but the intro completely rips off from The Chash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go'. As for the song, it's nothing special and it's an inferior 'One Thing' but I can see why they're not deviating from their sound.

 

It'll be a big #1, at least first week saleswise anyway. They're too huge for it not to.

It's surprisingly decent. 1D are definitely the best boyband around atm out of the big three...and Lawson. :lol:

 

I'd say #1 with just over 150k.

I expect it to skyrocket to #1 with over 160k (it'll probably debut #1/top 5 in the states too).

 

And sorry to be crass, but how do-able does Zayn look in that pool?! ;)

#1 most likely to be the quickest selling number 1 of the year. Considering it is the fastest/highest selling pre-order on itunes ever, it is gonna be big first week.

I can't add my 'what sales' vote, but it would be 100-149k if I could.

Will be interesting to see how long it will be no1 for considering sycho have started being smarter by not holding back for 6 weeks before release - it could sell over 6 figs for 2-3 weeks!!

I find all the relentless hype/favouritism over a song that sounds exactly the same as their last three singles a bit much and also undeserved TBH. And I know, I'll probably get accused of being bitter and twisted and get the old scratched record from certain parties on here of 'But JLS didn't evolve their sound for three albums, blah blah blah', but even 'The Club is Alive' didn't get this much exposure, and there wasn't a single song on their first album that sounded like it either.

However, it will be No.1, with big Sales. It will certainly give them their 3rd Week

at No.1 in the Singles Chart, & their 2nd Album will give them their 1st Week at

No.1, in the Album Chart.

The main competition the week after is Leona and possibly Conor Maynard feat. Ne-Yo but I doubt either of those will be number 1. So two weeks is most probable. They are more of a fanbase loaded act however and the week after that (14th October) has Calvin Harris feat. Florence, Lawson, Loveable Rogues, Rebecca Ferguson and Tyler James so I don't see them holding up against those.

Whilst I agree with this, I believe Adele has Skyfall coming out during October (film is out late October) and I can see her having an OA/OS strategy to be honest. I'd certainly say she'd be a contender. Apparently Rihanna has new stuff coming out but again, there is no official release date yet.

 

OD is definately going to #1 with big sales. I can see it going to #1 in a few countries as well.

One of the music TV channels had this on constant repeat yesterday - I gave up watching after about the 15th time on repeat that it got played! This will easily smash through 200,000 sales in the first week

Its hard to tell but 1D have only started their campaign for the single this week with the radio premiere yesterday and a strategy releasing the single this sunday or next which is very early so it will have massive first week sales obv but they could sustain it as radio/video plays will peak in around 3 weeks. i know alot of their 1st week sales are fanbases related, but not ALL of them!
