This is shaping up to be one of the most interesting chart weeks this year...will definitely be an exciting chart to listen to this Sunday!

I'm backing Rihanna & Adele for top 2 this week!

Don't forget Leona's new track is released on Sunday too :o

It's going to be a very interesting fortnight

Where is Ja Rule these days anyway? I use to always hear his music when I was in primary/secondary school now he's dissapeared.

Swedish House Mafia as well. Next weeks top 10 is likely to see big sales! Perhaps the whole top 5 (or more) will sell 50k+

I used to love Ja Rule too. But 50 Cent and Eminem basically ended his career.

And JoJo - Anything  But yeah also Fight For You!

Both did. Ja Rule sampled it in Murder Reigns. Also, Xzibit, Wiz Khalifa and Nas have sampled the song before.

Ja Rule - The Reign

That's what i was reffering to

Fair enough! I didn't think 'Africa' had been used so much

The only thing that I can see happening next week is the collapse of sales for One Direction. They're already down to #3 on iTunes so by the end of this week they might be between 6-10. :o

Rihanna and Adele are more likely to dominate for the next fortnight as their singles are brand new and will prove that OA/OS does work if the track is good enough.

I also think Swedish House Mafia will do better than Leona next week. Leona might not even make the top 5 next week.

So... are we saying that Rihanna is going to be #1 come Sunday, instead of OneD, if so that will do nicely :D

Didn't 'Born This Way' only sell ~66k with a Friday release? And that stormed iTunes. With 1D and Rihanna probably both on for 100k+, the highest I can see Adele being is #3 (and I imagine it will be tight between her and PSY). The 'Skyfall' release just annoys me because it's going to bump Ellie down.

I don't think Leona will be a factor in next week's chart to be honest. I can see it doing a 'My Wicked Heart'.

Nice international mix of UK #1's this year - acts from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US, UK, South Korea, Ireland, Barbados, Holland (if you count Eva Simons) have all topped the chart. Would be nice to see another Bajan act top the chart this week and then a Swedish #1 next week but I think Don't You Worry Child will probably just fall short with all the competition around right now...

They probably won't be as frontloaded as Moves Like Jagger was in the US though!!

It can't possibly get #1 imo, due to lack of radio airplay, but probably top 10 I think.

So next week we could have Adele, Rihanna & Leona Lewis making up the top 3. That will be one of the best Top 3's we have had in a long time.

Leona is a bit of a non factor at this point imo. Even with X Factor promo, I don't think she'll go top 3, probably not even top 5.

I'd like to hope that Rihanna & Adele will slow down after the initial surge and Swedish House Mafia will be able to sneak a week at the top. Looking really unlikely now though :( Leona will do nothing, I'm fully expecting 'Collide' all over again.

At this stage repeating 'Collide' seems like the (unlikely) best case scenario!

OMG - SKYFALL - 65!

After 2.5 hours.

Weirdly I could imagine #65 on pre-orders in the iTunes singles chart could be equal to top 5 on pre-orders in the iTunes album chart.

Makes me wonder if Adele will go straight in at #1 once 'Skyfall' is released to iTunes. It's still got 3 more days to build up its pre-orders. If it really takes off and manages to sell close to 100k (or more) in 2 days then massive kudos to the record company for allowing the track to be released this way.

Hopefully Adele doesn't block Calvin Welch when Sweet Nothing is released. The song is just perfect! I didn't think I'd say this after I heard Let Go & We'll Be Coming Back but SN is the best single released from this era.
Oh! NO! A lot of things starts closing on Rihanna... I guess she was frontloaded also... I'm just wanna see how much 1D lead have right now combined... I guess a lot... even them are increased on her.
