A top 5 placing could definitely happen, permitting she builds up a big enough lead. Saying that, Rihanna would already have surpassed 50k by Wednesday evening, and potentially 100k by Sunday; can't see Adele selling 100k in 48 hours.

I would love Adele to go straight to number 1 but it probably wont happen, 100,000 in 2 days isnt totally impossible though.

Adeles lead is growing by the minute, strong possibility if she sells 50-80k over the next 2 days, which I think is highly likely, she will hopefully be top 3 :D Then number 1 next week! :wub: As impossible as it seems I would love for her somehow to sell 160k in the next 2 days, and come out at No.1 haha would be one of the most interesting charts ever.

Based on that 0.0012, Adele is selling 833 copies for every one that the #100 is selling.

 

Based on last week, #92 sold 2,740 for the week, multiply that by 833 and that means Adele is selling at a rate of 2,283,333 copies for the week, right now (which would put her on for 650,000 copies today/tomorrow based on a straight pro-rata 2/7ths).

Definitely SOMETHING wrong with the kworb %'s, doing the same calculation using the #40 bar (0.0372) gives a rate of 222,000 for the week or 63,000 for today/tomorrow (based on 2/7ths of 8,300 sales for #40 last week and the 0.0372 above).

 

I'm inclined to believe the pro-rata from the #40 bar given that (a) this is much more realistic! and (b) because kworb rounds to the nearest 0.05 all the estimations below 0.05 are likely to be out by quite some distance, the closer we are to 0.05 the better for estimation purposes.

"Born This Way" was selling around 3x that of the #2 at its highest, wasn't it? And she had about fifteen less hours, I reckon Adele will be #2 this week. 1D could repeat "Gotta Be You" and fall 1-3 from the midweeks and PSY could register a sales increase in dropping 1-4 :o

I'd be worried for Rihanna if it wasn't already Friday. Nevertheless, if 1D end up at #4 (they may well be #3 or #2), it'll be one of the best top 3s for as long as I can remember - all 3 of Diamonds, Skyfall and Gangnam Style are sublime. (ssh about the latter)
