For the last several years, I think they've set a record % in the week after Xmas.

Thanks. I can remember this time last year and I think Music Week said digital album sales were at an all-time high. They also mentioned P!nk's Greatest Hits was in the Top 40 with only a few hundred physicals sold or something like that.

Rita Ora now up to #2! Not sure if she'll be able to overtake Now 83 though.

I've just noticed that the original version of Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events has been deleted from iTunes.

Itd be a bit of a random no1 considering she doesnt really have any single getting played loads at the moment (Shine Ya Light is off the playlists by now) although she does get alot of airplay overall especially with the hit of the year getting aired alot this week!

No surprises at 18 Months and the New Year compilations going up. It would be great if the former could go Top 5 again this week on the official chart.

It will be interesting to see how much downloads are in the album chart in the coming weeks as xmas physical sales decrease!!
Just noticed that Girls Generation's album 'I Got A Boy' is #172 on UK iTunes! :o Oricon will be happy!

What flops, even Cody Simpson got higher than that.

:kink:

WAE. Out of all the k-pop/j-pop songs to breakthrough post-PSY, that would not be my first pick, it's awful. :(

It's the album of the same name, not just the song. :D

 48 - Peter Andre - Angels And Demons

Didn't think I'd ever see this in the iTunes charts again after it's chart run of 18-74-Out last year! Seems that his TV show has given the album a huge boost.

Downloads will be huge in this weeks album chart!!

12. The xx - Coexist [£4.99]

This could do with a massive jump in the UK Album Chart!

It's gone 77-72-71-38 in the last 3 weeks and they're #32 on the mids, so they're making their way back up! This album has done better than I expected, thought the sophomore slump would hit them harder.

I wanted to love this album after being seriously obsessed with their debut but was really disappointed with it however i am glad its doing well for them though.

On another note my personal album of the year is finally getting some movement on iTunes -
