(Seven missed out the highest new album, 'The Chic Organization' [sic], which is at #9 now with Editors already dropping to #14. Looking at the tracklist, although the album is credited to Chic, I don't think this one will appear on the album chart as there are plenty of non-Chic songs on there - I'm guessing it's more of a Nile Rodgers compilation than a Chic one but I don't know).

To be geeky about it, The Chic Organization is the name the members of Chic used when they were writing, producing and playing on tracks for other acts, and the album is a compilation of that stuff. So it doesn't include stuff Nile Rodgers produced on his own for Madonna, David Bowie etc; luckily it doesn't include 'Frankie' by Sister Sledge either. Although some people have made the analogy with a David Guetta album where he creates music with various vocalists, I think it'll probably go on the compy chart.

Arctic Monkeys' debut album now  to #1! Who'da thunk. (It is £4.49 though, which I guess partially explains why it's so low in the mids as it must be selling mostly digitally at the moment).

Top 10 update + pre-orders:

1. Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys

2. Babel - Mumford & Sons

3. Superstar DJs - Ministry of Sound - Various Artists

4. Chilled R&B (The Platinum Edition) - Various Artists

5. Jake Bugg - Jake Bugg

6. The Chic Organization: Up All Night (The Greatest Hits) - Chic

7. Long Way Down - Tom Odell

8. To Be Loved - Michael Bublé

9. Love Me Again (Remixes) - EP - John Newman

10. Marbella Sessions 2013 - Ministry of Sound - Various Artists

31. Best Song Ever - EP - One Direction

32. AM - Arctic Monkeys

76. Trampoline - EP - Tinie Tempah

93. Sinners - EP - Lauren Aquilina

123. Reload (Vocal Version) [Remixes] - EP - Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash & John Martin

140. Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke

172. Ring a Ling (Remixes) - Sneakbo

'Best Song Ever' is holding up pretty well really :( I suppose I should reserve judgment until it's actually premiered but I really can't see it being any good from what I've heard about it so far.

Tinie doing pretty well so far, hope he holds up in the top 100 at least until release. This needs to be huge for him. Yay at Sneakbo making the top 200, really hope he can do at least as well as Stylo G did - kind of similar songs.

Wonder if we'll get the new Jay-Z album tomorrow... we did get 'Yeezus' on the date that was originally announced (not pulled forward as the OCC seem to want to believe). No chance of 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' getting to #1 though with 2 fewer days of sales but I could definitely see it making the top 10 and maybe climbing next week if we do get it tomorrow.

Apologies for the triple post but yeah.

1. Magna Carta... Holy Grail - JAY Z

Not sure I like the ellipsis in the title :P

EDIT: I won't quadruple post but I just realised that's a pre-order and it's out on Monday. Very strong chance of a first #1 album for Jay-Z then seeing as there's bugger all else out, it won't even need to outsell 'Yeezus'. Jay-Z and Kanye getting #1 albums within a month of each other *_*

Rod Stewart TV special documentary on BBC1 Tuesday night 10:35pm.

His album will probably keep him top 5 for another week, #1 hmmm... maybe a possibility.

Apologies for the triple post but yeah.

What else would you expect to sell 25k next week? Rod Stewart is a possibility given what Mikey just posted but other than that I can't see anything else doing over 20k.

Looks like Jay-Z and Ciara are the only new albums entering the album chart this week.
If Jay-Z is on downloads alone this week, then I'm not sure it'll even sell 20k. Rod Stewart has a real chance of going back to #1 I think after that documentary.

34. The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 (Deluxe) - Justin Timberlake

48. Lightning Bolt - Pearl Jam

66. Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke

70. Now That's What I Call Music! 85 - Various Artists

97. Electric - Pet Shop Boys

143. Trampoline (feat. 2 Chainz) - EP - Tinie Tempah

144. Surfers Paradise (Deluxe) - Cody Simpson

'The 20/20 Experience - 2 Of 2' was only added later in the day so expecting it to climb a lot higher tomorrow. Robin Thicke looking like a likely #1 album next week, Pet Shop Boys should get #2. Wasn't expecting them to do anything on iTunes but top 100 on pre-orders is quite decent! Cody Simpson is thankfully download-only so hopefully won't chart too high.

Was 'Trampoline' really taken down for like... a few days just to add 'feat. 2 Chainz' to the name of the EP or is that just a coincidence? Pleased to see it back anyway and not holding up too badly, I do hope it can climb back into the top 100 at least though.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how 1D's EP is STILL this high when it's still not premiered?! Who the hell is pre-ordering before hearing it in such high numbers outside its first few days on sale?

1083. AlunaGeorge - Body Music

This is doing absolutely atrociously for an album out in two weeks :manson: 'You Know You Like It' was a terrible single choice, there's no hype around it at all and Body Music will be lucky to go top 20 now.

3. Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines

13. Cody Simpson - Surfers Paradise (!)

69. Cody Simpson - Surfers Paradise (Deluxe) :heehee:

Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 is going to be gathering up some big pre-orders if it is out in over 2 months time! :o

Yay for Angetha just sneaking in at #100! :cheer: Hope she gets a Top 75 hit with this.

Pre-orders top 200:

71. Best Song Ever - EP - One Direction

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how 1D's EP is STILL this high when it's still not premiered?! Who the hell is pre-ordering before hearing it in such high numbers outside its first few days on sale?

I notice there's now artwork for the single which reveals some of the lyrics - maybe that's whetted some Directioners' appetites.

Pre-order update:

18. Best Song Ever - EP - One Direction

28. Hail to the King (Deluxe Version) - Avenged Sevenfold

44. Now That's What I Call Music! 85 - Various Artists

46. The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 (Deluxe) - Justin Timberlake

96. AM - Arctic Monkeys

104. Doris - Earl Sweatshirt

106. Paradise Valley - John Mayer

107. Lightning Bolt - Pearl Jam

142. Trampoline (feat. 2 Chainz) - EP - Tinie Tempah

160. All the Wrong Places (Remixes) - EP - Example

186. Stars Dance - Selena Gomez

 @ One Direction. What have they done now? Has the song premiered?

Avenged Sevenfold could get another new peak with this album, their chart peaks have improved massively with each release to date with the first two not charting then the next three progressing 63-24-5.

Didn't realise the Arctic Monkeys album release was still so long from now, still well over a month to go. Must have racked up quite a lot of pre-orders already and plenty more to come. Should beat the opening sales of 'Suck It And See'?

Earl Sweatshirt to be the third Odd Future member to get a top 40 album hopefully.

1D haven't premiered the song, but they've uploaded a 20 second clip of it (same as what we got in their film trailer but it's in HQ this time) and are teasing the music video.

Cody Simpson now  to #11 and #26! :D Didn't think it'd still be climbing now but he's been advertising the release date as today as that's when it's out in America.
