But if people have heard about a song form their favourite artists or whatever, surely they're more inclined to just go straight to iTunes as opposed to googling?

Well yeah, people probably just make the assumption that you have to get it by paid download, since that's how it is 99% of the time. Rack City has probably sold about 50,000, and that was available for free the entire time too. So this Chase & Status song could sell as much as that, or even more.

Delighted that Disclosure/Sam Smith are climbing. Top 10 soon, please

JLS + Labrinth/EmSand are performing on the X-Factor at the weekend. Wonder if JLS can get another #01

I don't think JLS will go to #1, but I love their new song, and I'll be really happy if it can go top 5.

I can't believe Disclosure are so high on iTunes. I heard about them a few times before, just naturally assumed they'd never get in the charts.

Well in the same perspective, some people would laugh at people who buy their music on iTunes, Amazon, Play etc because ALL music is available for free. Majority of people illegally download, so same could be said about all the songs on iTunes right now, they are all available for free.

If you told me 18 months ago that Maroon 5 would double the number of top ten hits they already had, I wouldn't have believed you.

I'm not sure I'd have believed it, if someone had said they'd *ever* have another T10 hit...

Moves Like Jagger has done wonders for them (well, actually The Voice has done wonders, as MLJ probably wouldn't have come around it wasn't for that). Payphone would never have been as big if it wasn't for Moves Like Jagger. But I'm pleased they've become just as successful as they were when they started too. :D

This should go top 40 come sunday (unless the WE will completely push it down once more)

One More Night has just claimed its 5th week at #1 on the Hot 100.

Meredith Brooks - Bitch #105 :yahoo: I hope it keeps rising. Brings back childhood memories.

I've got her album, there are some cracking tracks on there, ain't played that CD in ages. Its probably under the bed in one of the large boxes.

I saw it in Poundland the other week ^_^ I still listen to "Bitch" regularly, would be in my Top 10 of the 90s. Also Alisha's Attic are at no.197 :-)

Yes :D Where are they now? I know one of them featured on the Michael Gray track "Borderline"

41 AlunaGeorge - Your Drums, Your Love

38 Everything Everything - Cough Cough

Need both of these to reach the top 40 officially. I hope EE can hold on! :w00t:

I'm sure one of Alisha's Attic went on to write songs for other artists including Kylie. I think it's Karen Poole if I remember correctly?

I genuinely had that a year or two back when I was living in the North of England. I was really excited that Coca Cola was giving away iTunes vouchers and I was telling my work mates about it, and they were like "yer buy music on iTunes?! Yer kno yer can get everything for free raht?" :/

I like that one too, but I bet radio had trouble with it at the time... :P
