7 - Labrinth/Emeli Sande - A climb of 82 places, Next weeks #1?

WTF?!? From #85 to #7 in 45 minutes. Wow

I wasn't expecting much from Labrinth as I've heard him sing live before and he was really pitchy. However, that was a good performance and Emeli Sandé was brilliant. Maybe this could be the surprise #1 of the week then. :o

A second version is at #59 too - Emeli's album has climbed to #2 and Labriniths to #20 - What an impact from 1 performance!!

Oh wow at 'Beneath Your Beautiful', didn't think it'd go top 10 at all let alone straight away. I wouldn't argue with that being a shock #1, great song!

 

Not much of an impact for JLS yet but then they performed after Labrinth so maybe their boost is yet to come...

This is similar to what happened after Adele's BRIT performance. Someone Like You shot up from about #50 to #9 or something in one update. :lol:

 

So glad Labrinth and Emeli are in the top 10 (and also #59) now. :wub: I didn't expect this to be honest. Emeli being on X Factor should boost Naughty Boy's single too. Up to #12 now. :wub: She gets to feature on so many good songs. :lol:

Emeli is one of them artists that whenever she performs on a TV show, her album always shoots up on iTunes

This is what i love about the download era - Music is instantly available to buy after a TV performance etc, - Emeli and Labrinth are now heading for a smash hit, Also loving that the epic 'Save The World' is at #35

If James Arthur had released a proper studio recording of 'Sexy And I Know It', I'd definitely consider buying it. The live version is great anyways imo. It was such a brilliant version and I can't stand the original by LMFAO.

 

More interesting is that Kye's track was second highest yet he was in the bottom 2. I guess people just thought he was safe and didn't need their vote - the British sure love an underdog. Step forward Christopher and Rylan!!! :lol:
