So glad to see Kylie at #2, Calvin surely has to be #3 if Taylor Swift is still #1

I take Tyler James's album position with a pinch of salt for now.

Having read the comment off Twitter, I'm sure #38 is correct. Poor Tyler. :(

Somebody is reporting on Sayhey (Kylie forum) that Kylie is 600 copies behind CALVIN who is at no.1, so who knows what to believe...

I would believe that over Taylor being #1 - is there a source for either of these though?

I do think Calvin is #1, Taylor Swift has fallen on the albums itunes chart, I think the earlier post was her #1 position from last week, that would make sense.

Good to see Matt top 10-it's a great album. Hope it can stay there all week.
Great to see Kylie of to a good start, if Kylie had any chance of number 1 she needed to be number 1 today as her fans (me included) would have bought on monday, well a big chunk of them anyhow. Still id be happy if she ended up number 2 with decent sales. Im also delighted Matt Cardle is number 7, i just hoop ehe can stay top 10. While i didnt expect Tyler James to be a huge seller or anything i at least expected him much higher,if he is number 38 now it is likely he will drop out by sunday,.

I hope Kylie ends up in the top 3 by sunday. I'm not that sure though.

On the other hand, I can't believe Tyler James album is flopping horribly. :(

Tyler and Matt Cardle should swap places.

I do hope for Calvin number 1... and that he is gonna stay there and stop Kylie... her album is great and I do like her but I always prefer a NEW materiel album than a collection at number 1.

Thanks to those who helped with the Madness question. Looks like they may be the first group to achieve a top 10 position (in either singles or albums) with new material in each of the 70s 80s 90s 00s and 10s. Clearly the Rolling Stones record of doing this every decade since the 60s far outscores Madness. And their next album should make it 6 decades when it comes.

My prediction for Sundays

1. Calvin

2. Kylie

3. Taylor

4. Emile Sande

5. Mumford

6. Madness

Sorry, I got it wrong. The tweet was actually from sometime last week. I have no idea why it was on my time line for today. =/

I would be shocked if Kylie doesnt hold top 2, i dont see anything else to threaten it really. While some of Kylie's albums have sold in less quantities than expected she always opens with decent sales apart from the recent best of which can be discounted as it was nothing but a cash in that Kylie did not support herself. I maybe be wrong be didnt Kylie's last studio album sell 80,000 in its opening week?

Yeah, 79k I think. And that was in the Summer, although it did have a massive boost from All the Lovers. I think Kylie could sell about 50k this week.

My predictions for today's midweek:

01. Calvin Harris

02. Kylie Minogue

03. Taylor Swift

04. Emeli Sande

05. Jake Bugg

06. Mumford & Sons

07. fun.

08. Matt Cardle

09. Madness

10. Muse

I wouldn't be surprised if Madness was high considering Matt Cardle was much higher than I expected him to be, but I don't know if it should swap with fun. as they did have a massive boost from X Factor.

I would predict the exact same top 10, although im secretly hoping Kylie will end up number 1.

It's quite hard to predict at the top - Kylie can sell a lot of CDs and vinyls, but considering the success Calvin Harris has had this era, I would expect him to be number one.
