Regardless of how this album sells i think the timing of it has been nothing short of perfect. Kimberley was highly received on Strictly Come Dancing. Girls Aloud re-uniting (even if only temporary) has put them back in the headlines so at this stage of Kimberley's career she is quiet well exposed. I just hope she can capitalise on all of this with some good promotion when the album is officially released. I strongly believe if this happens Kimberley is well and truly in line to have the most successful solo album with the exception of Cheryl. The ideal outcome for Kimberley in my book would be for her album to outsell Cheryls recent release. I am fully aware that could be harder than we think.
To be honest, I don't want this to flop but I don't want it to be a mega seller either. It doesn't deserve to sell over 100k.
I'd like it to do really well tbh, I love this type of music and she has worked really hard. Plus GA are clearly going to be gone soon so I have to get used to the solo careers.

You haven't heard it yet

I don't need to listen first to deduce that an album full of rehashed musical songs doesn't deserve to sell half a million copies. I don't want Kimberley to be the female version of Michael Buble, do you?

Well I've not heard the originals of most of them, so it will very much feel like an original album to me, as well as the inclusion of two original songs. I very much think she does deserve to sell many copies, I doubt she's going to do a series of these albums, and if she does, I think she'll add more and more new material every time. And I like Michael Bublé, so that is no insult...

Limited Edition with signed postcard available here: http://store.universal-music.co.uk/restofw.../0602537298174/

Kimberley Walsh is taking Centre Stage with her debut album. This exclusive package includes a limited promotional sampler which opens up into a glamorous poster along with a signed postcard packaged together with her show stopping album.

The first single has wet my appetite for more and i certainly will be buying this album.

I've pre ordered the limited edition. ODIFA has grown on me the more I play it :D

But I can't see where it's physically going to sell from. Hope it does better than I fear!

Quite honestly, I don't see this doing any better than Nicola's album if that.

Does anyone expect any different? :P

I saw talks of 100k and half a million a few posts above which seemed unrealistic.

I don't think 100k is out of the question, if Joe McElderry could sell over 200k of 'Classic' without a hit single, then why not? Half a million definitely doesn't seem likely though...

Ah, now there is! :P I think he recognition on Strictly will be at an advantage for her, but I still don't see the album doing better than Nicola's Cinderella's Eyes (which she did lots of promotion for and the album had some really positive reviews from critics).

An album advertisement is on YouTube. Has about 3 previews of the songs on the album, sounds good so far! :D
Kimberley's performing at G-A-Y on Saturday. Hopefully she'll do one or two Girls Aloud songs, and there are videos uploaded!

Wish I could go!

1 week till the album release, out on Friday in Ireland, not long till we hear it in full now.
